Constructed of true fireclay - a special white clay that is fired at 2900 degree Fahrenheit for extreme strength and durability. Enamel sink surface is fused to the solid fireclay in a proprietary process making the surface completely resistant to chips, abrasion or scratches.
  • Resistant to high temperatures, hot water, acids and common household chemicals.Reversible: One side is smooth and flat, and the other side has a decorative fluted design, so you can decide how you want to install based on your preference. The media could not be loaded. I really want to like this sink. It's solidly built and gorgeous. Based on some comments, we examined the sink the same day it arrived and we were disappointed to find several defects in the surface enamel. Grey dots and scratches in the interior of the sink. We didn't bother to lift it out to see if the defects extend to the outside because what's the point? I want to try again but I'm afraid that a replacement won't meet my standards and I'll have to schlep it back to the UPS store again. It's incredibly heavy so I'm not sure I want the hassle. Maybe we will find a local vendor so we can inspect the product in person. It's a pretty sink but the QA doesn't appear to be high. I expected better and was willing to pay for a higher quality sink. Edit 11/1/2022: I did end up repurchasing the sink and it came with fewer grey dots, but dots nevertheless. The vendor was responsive and sent an eraser at no cost to remove the spots. They tell me that the spots will come off with a little elbow grease. At the very least, I am pleased that they took my feedback seriously. I am now waiting for the contractor to install the sink before testing out the eraser. BTW, my good friend is a higher-end home builder/designer and she used Ruvati for her recent install and she stands by the product. We'll see. I will update in about 3 weeks once the sink goes in. Edit: 1/18/2023 Sink is finally in and it's stunning. It brings the kitchen together. The marks rubbed out and it's gleaming.     • Check the sink hole before installing

We loved this sink and it shipped with no damage. However when we went to install the garbage disposal, we noticed the hole in the sink was off center AND was too small for the garbage disposal flange. Our plumber said that the flanges are all a standard size and cant be changed. So we had to return the sink. We are getting the replacement in 2 days (Thru Amazon) so we are hoping the new one will have the right sized hole. I noticed other people had this problem so hoping it was just a bad “lot”. This was inconvenient because we haven't had a kitchen sink for a month! I will update after we get the new one. *Update - We got a sink replacement very quickly thanks to Amazon but we opened the box and it had the same off center hole that was also 1/4 inch too small for the garbage disposal flange. Sadly, this one is going back too. Either Ruvati doesnt make their sink to accommodate a standard disposal or they have produced a batch with holes too small. I've always wanted a farm sink and when we decided to update our kitchen I ordered the Ruvati after lots of looking. It's beautiful and big and I love that I can wash big pans without the hassle of a double sink where nothing fits within the confines of it. Our remodelers installed it so i don't know how difficult it was, although I did have to order/remake new cupboard doors below as my original ones were too big (I kept my original cupboards since they were in great shape and I like them.) We installed this fire clay sink a year ago. It makes an impression when you walk into the kitchen. Even our contractor took pictures and bragged to other friends and clients about it. We built a sturdy base for it using angle iron and a piece of plywood slightly smaller than the sink dimensions. The angle iron was cut into the sides of the base cabinet to the dimension needed for installation. I chose to expose the upper edge of the sink (and to not recess it under a countertop). Plywood was placed on top of the angle iron, then some foam furniture pads for the sink to sit on. I purchased a roll-up drain rack that sits on the top edge of the sink keeping the sink basin open: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07354BKY4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The sink requires a deep sink flange.     • Thinner profile farmhouse sink with spacious basin

Have been using the sink for a couple months now that the kitchen remodel is complete. Got the 36” and it’s a good size to fit anything we have needed to clean- pots, pizza pans etc. The thickness of the sink itself is about 1” which is on the thinner side for a fire clay farmhouse sink but we knew that going in. I salivate for the 2” thick sinks but for our particular kitchen, 1) it works with our 2 cm thick marble counter tops without a laminated edge- just a more minimalistic and modern look. And 2) we prefer the larger sink basin space which this one provides- after researching MANY sinks. The delightful surprise was that the bottom does slope toward the center drain which makes chasing stuff to it easier. Apparently many farmhouse sinks are flat bottomed and this was a plus for us. All around, happy with our purchase, and would recommend this product especially for the price- can’t find better in this price range, your specific kitchen or room design permitting! ... show more
