I ordered the Ruvati sink and two days later it was delivered in perfect shape. It was extremely well packed and crated. It hasn't been installed yet, but I can see it is of fine quality. Weighs 35 lbs -- very heavy 16 gauge stainless. Similar sinks from Elkay and Kohler are lighter weight 18 gauge. The Ruvati has a nice brushed stainless finish -- shiny, but not high polish. It will match your stainless appliances. This sink also has a huge basin for a 25" x 22" top mount. The Ruvati comes pre-drilled with one hole and unfortunately, there are no alternative configurations available. I would like to have been able to order this sink with two holes in an 8" spread for a bridge mount faucet or without any pre-drilled holes so I could have it custom drilled locally. I called Ruvati to inquire, and the fellow I spoke with wasn't very interested in my two cents about this… Anyway, its OK -- I found a unique, retro/modern single hole faucet by Jaclo from their Steamvalve line, so I am pleased. The only other thing to mention (that you cannot see in the photo) is that the interior basin has the Ruvati logo prominently etched into the top back wall. Its not unattractive, but if you're like me and don't like branding plastered all over everything in your kitchen, this may be one more thing to bug your aesthetic. I'll learn to live with/ignore it because I have no choice, but if I did, I would tell them to be more discreet with their labeling. But -- overall the sink really is perfect for my application. I would recommend it to anyone with limited counter space looking to maximize their basin size.

I purchased this sink July 5, 2015 after researching many months for just the right sink to suit our requirements. I wanted to be sure we had put it to the test of time before writing a review, and so we did! I am an organic, fully from scratch cook for a large family. I use every imaginable size of pot and pan, from small to huge cast iron and stainless steel. I have many salad spinners, colanders, mandarin slicers, sets of expensive knives, and dozens of bowls, flatware sets and serving trays, not to mention all of the dishes - oodles of them. The size of this sink accommodates them all as needed around here, sometimes with several in at the same time. This sink comes packaged as finely and elegantly as the sink itself, so the sink is well protected upon arrival. After almost two years of using this sink as a maniac cook who does nothing in a delicate way, I can attest to the fact that this sink can take a lot of beating with not a hint of marring or discoloration to it. After I clean it every night, it looks as good and new as the day we received it. It is a very heavy sink; it took two of us to lift it into the pre-existing countertop hole that accommodated the previous old sink, which was standard size: about one inch deeper than this sink. However, we got creative with the countertop to close that one inch gap left at the back wall. No one will ever be the wiser unless they crawl deep into the sink cabinet with a flashlight, turn upside down on their back and examine the countertop patch at the wall. Our guests are usually not inclined to do so. The stainless steel of this sink is very thick and cleans beautifully. The manufacturing seams are flawless. The bottom is flat, which was one of our requirements, so as to allow more stuff to sit flat. No space is wasted for setting things flat in this sink. It has no curves or pitches. We love that. We hated that our old sink's sides were curved and it was pitched towards the drain, which wasted a lot of the usable space. When we read reviews of this sink while doing our research pre-purchase, we noticed that some had complained about the flat bottom without curves and pitches. They commented that without those curves and pitches, the sink did not drain automatically, nor does all the debris slide down the drain automatically. That seemed like a trite and silly complaint to us. After all, to properly clean a sink and rid it of all debris, one does not just allow whatever is visible on its bottom to slide down the drain. There is much left behind that is not visible to the naked eye, and therefore the sink must be scrubbed out properly with cleaner to be sanitized. So, no matter if the sink has a 45 degree pitch, it still needs to be scrubbed out. I should teach a class on sanitation and hygiene to those complainers. If they are not regularly scrubbing out the sink with sanitizing cleaner, they do not have a clean sink! There is no sound, vibration or movement what-so-ever with this sink. It is totally solid and quiet as can be. The bottom rack is heavy duty and most sturdy. Our large cast iron Dutch Ovens full of liquid do not bend it in any way, even with the pressure of scrubbing them. The rack saves the bottom of the sink from any scratching or marring. Great addition! Even the rack is still in perfect condition after almost two years of heavy duty use and cleaning. This was one of our most excellent purchases of the whole house remodel. Amazon's price was a great deal. This sink could last several lifetimes, so we are considering it a family heirloom.

After doing a LOT of research on stainless steel sinks, and having thrown out our fair share of expensive 18 gauge sinks from box retailers because they rusted, dented, and scratched under normal use, we chose the Ruvati because it's a high-quality product at a reasonable price. After 10 months of use, it has held up exceedingly well. Pros: 16 gauge stainless is commercial grade; that's as good as it gets The RVH8000 is HUGE but fits in a typical cut-out; you can soak large pots, pans and trays It's heavy! No need for undermount clips because the weight of the unit + silicon sealant will hold it in place Easy to install (and I'm not a plumber) Well insulated; it's quiet and holds the temp well when washing in hot water Bottom rack protects the sink from damage Packaging is excellent; the cardboard box is as impressive as the sink Still looks new after almost a year of use Cons: If you scrape food off your plate anywhere other than over the disposal opening, you'll spend a lot of time with the sprayer getting it all down. Even when draining a full sink, you'll still have food particles that won't go down without extra effort. And don't even think of dumping noodles or beans in the sink with the rack in place; major water games to get everything in the disposal. If Ruvati would change the pitch of the base a few degrees, it would be a perfect sink. If you are looking for a sink that will last for years, can handle large pots and pans, and don't mind the hassle of the low-slope basin that requires a lot of spraying to clean/drain, you'll be very pleased with the Ruvati.

I moved into a condo with a small kitchen in 2017 and remodeled the kitchen. I took a chance and purchased this sink, of course, without seeing it. My contractor installed it, but he didn't complain, so I guess it went okay. The reason for this review is for you to see what it looks like after 5 years of use. Just like a new car, I cleaned it often and now I clean it when it starts to look a little grungy. Today, I did a thorough cleaning and it still looks good, I think. I've done some dumb stuff to it over the years. While new, I dropped a large glass pumpkin on the edge and banged it up a bit. And then, in an effort to recycle a plastic toilet bowl cleaner bottle, I rinsed out the remaining contents in the sink leaving the permanent stains near the drain on the left side. I love the size, depth, and the single bowl. It's wonderful for everything...can't imagine anyone wanting 2 bowls. I didn't think I would be a fan of the bottom rinse grid, but was surprised how handy it is. You can leave something sitting on the grid in the sink and still rinse the sink. It's also a cushion if something is dropped. Since the pumpkin incident, nothing that has slipped from my hands has broken in the sink. The only con for this sink is getting into the corners to clean. Also, the grid is a bit of a pain, but a brush or Scrub Daddy takes care of that.

I researched a lot of stainless steel sinks. We removed our old cement utility sink in the basement and my wife wanted a large sink to replace it. There are some oversized stainless steel sinks out there but many of them are ridiculously expensive. This sink does the trick. It is big! It is an overmount which allowed me to use a standard formica countertop. The 16guage stainless is beautiful! The packaging was soo impressive. I ordered it from Amazon and was worried about the shipping with UPS throwing the thing around and having it damaged. It was packaged in a heavy duty box (that we still have because my wife thinks we can use it for something else!!) There was foam around the sink and the sink itself was packed in a velvet-like bag. It was like opening a bottle of Crown Royal!!! Ruvati really took all the extra effort to pack this thing well. It was easy to install - there was a template to use for cutting my formica top and it dropped right in. It is a quiet sink. I love my Ruvati stainless steel sink!

I have had this sink installed for about 4 months. The sink is beautiful, love the grate, it really helps protect it. Has a really high quality drain, that is easy to clean out. However; when my plumber went to install it, it was missing an essential piece for installation, a washer of some type that would go with this drain. He feared that he would have to use, the basic cheap drain that he had. He was able to pair this drain with, a standard piece and it has not leaked. That was the fear he had. I love my sink, and it is very deep and more than big enough at 25”. It does have some scratches, but I feel this is to be expected with stainless. Like I said, the grate really helps protect it from scratching.

My first clue was the packaging. Double boxed with lots of molded foam all around each box. Second was the silky nylon draw-string bag the actual sink was in (to avoid scratches, I presume). The sink itself is heavy duty stainless steel with sound deadening pads on all sides and bottom. Beautiful fit and finish. Love the (almost) flat bottom - big items don't teeter around. It'll hold an entire half of my BBQ grill grate for soaking and have room left over for the tools! We don't have the drainage problems that others have mentioned - it's "almost" flat on the bottom but we mounted the counter top with a slight slope to the rear and only occasionally have to push a little water to the drain with a sponge. The large strainer drain is a bonus as is the stainless steel rack - which keeps large heavy items from "dinging" the sink AND functions as an ideal drying rack! The only negative is the counter top clamping system. No instructions were included as to how to install them and once we figured it out, upon tightening, they tilted until the heads of the tightening screws were jammed against the sink sides and we couldn't get a wrench on them. Ended up with some wooden shims to keep them vertical. It's a large sink - space around it under the cabinet is limited - and I would recommend installing it in the countertop first before dropping the top on the cabinets. You really only need 4 to 6 or so of the clamps (it has 12) - we set our sink in a big wad of Plumbers Putty and it's not moved With the above caveats, I would recommend to anyone!

This Ruvati sink is the bomb!! I had a 1959 cast iron sink for almost 25 years ... imagine the difference this gorgeous sink made! I paired it with a restaurant quality faucet (large and functional) and I'm on my way to a chef's kitchen =) It goes well with my Subzero stainless fridge and my wonderful Miele stainless dishwasher. The quality of this Ruvati sink surprised me at first ... the 16 gauge steel is very sturdy. The handyman that installed it for me (20 minute install) was so impressed with the quality that he asked me for the information to purchase one for himself. He didn't believe me when I told him how much it cost (he thought it would have been 3 times what I paid). I've been using my Ruvati for the past few months and I have no complaints. The included rack for the bottom is attractive and sturdy (just like the sink). The sink is easy to keep clean and shows little to no water drop stains (low to no maintenance!) I would recommend this sink to any and everyone ... it is perfection!
