It's really hard to get a picture that accurately shows the finish, but it dried very evenly and matte. I am in the process of giving this room a mini make-over. This is a dated tub that I know will be eventually gutted and turned into a shower. I didn't think replacing the faucets on a 90s jacuzzi tub was worth the time or money, but the old tarnished brass was horrible. There are lines on the flat top of the water spout from my paint brush, but only in appearance (I used a smaller smooth craft paint brush to minimize texture.) It looks like a brushed steel but black, so I don't mind at all. All things painted are smooth to the touch--no texture or raised paint lines. I plan to update with use. So far so good! I let the first coat cure about 2 days and another 2 for the second. It seemed like the second coat dried faster, so you will have less time to work with it and smooth it out with your paint brush. I am very impressed with the finish on the knobs because they have ridges for grip, yet the paint dried so smooth. The only con so far is the finish really attracts dust and this is an ongoing workspace (drywall repair), so dust is inevitable. I used this paint as a flocking adhesive to flock the inside of my blank jewelry boxes and it worked beautifully. I bought two cans to do 10 of these little trinket boxes and actually only needed half of one, so a little goes a long way. It was super easy to wipe off if I went over any edges and overall holds like a pro! I read that acrylic paint was fine, but it dries too fast to have a proper working time and often peels/scratches off. This stuff has plenty of working time and once its cured, its CURED so your project won't be lifting up off its surface on you. We ordered two of these to paint a lamp post in our front yard. After sanding down the old paint and rust, it took less than one can to paint the entire lamp post with two coats of paint.     • Rustoleum paint endures for 30 years

I've torture tested wood painted with Rustoleum. If the wood is not submerged in water, it will resist weathering for 20 to 30 years. I've used Rustoleum on plastic barrels. 30 years. The paint is worth paying twice the cost of latex.

I bought this to repaint the silver in my bathroom. I did not want to replace all the fixtures and it is holding up absolutely great. Next i will paint the frames of my windows in my living room/bedroom (studio apt). My shower gets pretty steamy so the paint doesn’t chip, get gunky, or even when i sink my nail into it it doesn’t rip off. I love the product but the delivery was undesirable. The can was dented. There were these staple things on the lid which made me think they knew it was bad. And I had a 5 inch puddle of paint on my porch and railing where the driver had left the box.
