If you have never used spray paint on cabinets, you might want to try it!!! I have a cheap little condo I am trying to sell, and the cabinets needed an update. I redid the cabinets in my house using a roller and a really expensive cabinet paint, but I did not want to put that kind of time or money into these. So, I ordered the Espresso Satin (for some reason, it is hard to find in the stores). I used 3 and a half cans, and have half a can for any needed touch ups. It went on very easily - only one coat, for the most part! Yes, I had to tape off a lot of the area, and I got some on the counter tops and wall - but just a little touch up painting and some Goof Off took care of it! The difference is so dramatic! With the pain, new door pulls, and a peel and stick back splash, it is a whole new kitchen! The paint went on smoothly, no mess, very little drip, and the coverage was excellent! If you do see drips, just take a paper towel and lightly wipe it away. Wait about 15 seconds, then lightly spray again...takes care of it! If you want to redo your cabinets, I would definitely go this route! SO much easier that rolling them - just a little more clean up in the end. Dries quickly, and so far, no nicks or scratches! I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviewers of this product. "Doesn't dry - runs - doesn't cover". I had excellent results sanding down to bare metal on my Cub Cadet and covering completely with this product in one application - no runs. My guess is that the problem doesn't lie with the product. Probably a 99.5% possibility it's user error. Make sure you do the following or your job won't turn out right: 1. There's a little steel ball inside the can. The more you shake your can, the more the little ball works to mix the contents inside. In order to get the proper consistency you need to shake that can. I shook the can for 3 to 5 minutes - maybe overkill but the paint had the right consistency and the product covered nicely in one coat - no runs. If you don't shake that can enough the product will run after being applied. 2. Not sure the negative reviewers are applying the paint correctly. Don't simply shoot at a spot like you're delivering grease to a fitting. Use broad sweeping motions to apply the paint. You get nice smooth coverage with no runs in just one coat. If you've done the above and the paint still doesn't apply evenly and/or it runs, maybe the air temperature is too cold or the item being painted is wet or too hot. I'm just glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews - as the final product was a professional smooth look with absolutely no runs. ... show more

I updated a small patio with bright and bold colors which required sanding/repainting some wrought iron pieces as well painting new/existing planter pots. Rustoleum had the best colors available, though not all of them were in both finishes (Satin and Gloss) or in the Rustoleum 2X line (Primer & Paint). I purchased several colors in the 2X line (see photo) and feel that those came out beautiful. I wanted the shade of blue for the bench that I could only find in the "Sapphire" color and not in the 2X line. I went for it to paint a wrought iron bench that I had sanded & painted with the Rustoleum 2X primer. While the color is perfect, the paint was more difficult to work with and the finish wasn't nearly as nice as those pieces I painted with the 2X line. It 'ran' quite a bit more and required 2 coats of paint to look right. It might depend on your project, but I would definitely stick with the Rustoleum 2X line, even if the color/finish isn't exactly what you want. The Rustoleum 2X line is the easiest and best-covering spray paint that I've ever used. Amazon has a much wider selection of colors than any of my local hardware stores and at about the same price. Product is easy to use and applies neatly. Color is true to the cap. Dries quickly so 2nd coat can go on in 30 minutes. Make sure you purchase more than you think you need. I used 1 can per outdoor. chair and 1 1/2 for the matching table

I used this to paint one of my rides and to be honest, this was cheaper than a Maco paint job so I am happy with the results.
