These fit my son great. I went with the size 18, he's 5'5" and weighs 130 lbs. The fit is nice and relaxed and the pants are very comfortable. The material is soft and overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

I have a tall kid who will only wear 'warm pants.' Finding sweatpants that look nice is difficult, but these Russell pants do the trick. They are not closed around the bottom so have a nicer look than standard sweatpants. They are also great in length for my tall son. If your kiddo is shorter they may be on the long side for you, but for us this is great! No showing off his ankles. He's only 10, but he wears the large. The waist is just a little big for him (but not too big) but the length is perfect! ... show more

Excellent quality, better fitting option than Starter brand! I purchased both brands in the same size for my 13 year old son, who’s going through a growth spurt height wise. He had been wearing the Starter sweatpants for awhile, and when he needed a size larger only because of a moderate height increase, I didn’t think twice about ordering a size up of that same brand. They shrunk after the initial washing, and were entirely too short! I then purchased these ones in the comparable size, and the they’re great- they’re plenty long enough (with additional length available for some further growth- but NOT too long!) and didn’t shrink with washing. These are durable, have a nice weight to them, and my son says they’re more comfortable than the other brand. Purchased 2 more pairs, and will be purchasing more! I love the Russell brand for my son. He's a slender and on the smaller size 10 year old. The size medium works great for him. I bought these in at least 4 colors. Bought these for my husband, men's sweats are too large and too long for him. He wears a 31 waist, 29"inseam. Waist and thighs fit fine but these are still too long, about 30.5", he's just rolling them up once. If they fit perfect they would have gotten 5 stars. Bought youth medium for my lean 8 year old. (66lbs 53"). They are big in waist and bunched up at the bottom. Washed cold and hung dry... although they are majority polyester so I doubt they would shrink. Nice sweatpants for the price, but do run big. Have pockets and material seems nice.
