The product is honestly better than what Amazon charges for it. The box says 3+ years for age, but if you want your kid to really figure it out, he/she should definitely be 5+ years old. There seems to be some charge already in the robot when you receive it, but it does come with a USB charging cord. If you don't already have one, you can go to your local 7-Eleven. We never downloaded the app. The remote is pretty easy to use after working with it for a bit, although there are a lot of buttons, and it takes a second, especially for young children. The Ruko 1088 Smart Robot is a neat concept and seems well built, but for the price it didn’t hold our 4-year-old’s attention for very long. He played with it briefly and then lost interest pretty quickly. It does what it advertises and the movements are decent, but the entertainment value just wasn’t there enough for us to justify the cost.
