  • Beeper for Easier RecoveryThe Ruko R111S remote id module features a built-in beeper that helps you pinpoint your aircraft after landing or an unexpected loss of signal. Once GPS guides you near the recorded location, activate the beeper to find the drone more quickly in tall grass, bushes, or other hard-to-see areas.
  • GPS Tracking for Lost AircraftPowered by its own built-in battery, the R111S can continue providing location support even if the aircraft loses power, disconnects, or makes an unexpected landing. Use it as a GPS tracker for FPV drones, RC gliders, RC helicopters, RC jet fighters, fixed-wing aircraft, multirotors, and more. Through the app, the module helps locate the aircraft within an effective range of approximately 5001000 meters, provided it remains securely attached and within signal range.
  • Meets FAA Remote ID RequirementsThe Ruko R111S Remote ID Module is designed to help drones weighing over 250g meet FAA Remote ID requirements. It works with all Ruko drones and a wide range of models, including DJI Mini 2 SE, Mini 4K, Mini 3 Series, Mini 4 Pro, Air 2S, Air 3, Mavic 3 Series, Avata 2, FPV, Spark, Phantom Series, Inspire Series, Matrice Series, F7, F7GB2, ATOM, ATOM SE, and more.
  • Lightweight DesignWeighing only 13.5g (0.48 oz) and measuring just 1.3 1.1 0.5 inches, this compact module adds minimal weight and bulk to your aircraft.

Mandatory for scale helicopters
Unless you are flying in a F.R.I.A., the FAA requires Remote ID for any unmanned aircraft weighing more than half a pound. So, for many scale rc helicopters, this is a necessity. Works well and was easy to set up.

Good Device
Worked well. Easy to register with FAA and get setup.

A good option for hobbyists.
This is the simplest way to achieve RID compliance for most people. Take it out, charge it, register through drone zone, and you're good to go! It works well and is small enough to not really be an issue on any airplane or medium sized drone. The package includes several mounting options both permanent and for easy swapping between aircraft - although I suggest using a slightly "better" hook and loop if you plan to mount it externally (or to use the cable ties) so it doesn't shake loose. I've found the battery lasts long enough to make it through a full afternoon on airplanes, and the signal is reasonably good. You're unlikely to have much luck with the WIFI/Bluetooth range on most devices if there is interference but out of town it can be picked up a surprisingly long distance away. (So worry not about some karen tracking you... it's better to check the box than to risk a fine!) Overall, these are a great all in one option for most aircraft that don't have their own onboard GPS/RID system. It would be nice for drones if the system could pass information to the flight controller, but at that point you're better to look at an integrated option. Usually these are around $40, and i'm not sure what the difference is between this and the other Ruko options to justify the current price at $52. value wise, it is still worthwhile for most hobbyists that may only need one device but I think there isn't enough difference in this compared to their previous model to explain the price hike. Very good, lightweight, small, very quick and easy to install and use ID module for drones over 250g
Very nice remote ID module for drones. This is a compact and lightweight unit that’s very quick and easy to setup and install on your drone. The “Ruko” ships with multiple precut adhesive backed hook and loop(Velcro) pieces for easily attaching it to drone. It also comes with a reusable zip tie as well as four or five regular single use zip ties as additional options for attaching to your drone. The little “Ruko” has a built in rechargeable battery that can run for up to 5 hours of being constantly on. It’s easy to charge with the included USB-C charging cable lead and only takes approximately 40-45 minutes to give it a full charge. Of course, to fly drones weighing over 250 grams in the US you must have a valid permit and a remote ID module like this attached to your drone that transmits your drone’s location via it’s onboard GPS module as well as the pilots identification. This is the latest FCC ruling so that all aircraft in your area knows exactly where the drone is for safety’s sake. This unit not only keeps you legal while flying your drone weighing over 250 grams it also allows you to know where your drone is while flying as well as where it is in case the drone goes down for any number of reasons. This unit also features an audible beeping tone that can be engaged from your phone to help find the drone once you get into it’s general area as it can very well be stuck in a tree or crash land in thick brush where it would be extremely hard to find without. This module is very easy to setup using the free smartphone app that you must download on to your device. Once you initiate the app with the module on it pretty much connects instantly leaving you only to fill in your information. The great thing about this module is that you can easily move it to whatever craft you are flying so, no need to purchase multiple units. Especially when installing it using the supplied Velcro. The unit is very lightweight weighing only 13.5 grams for which the drone flys just as well when installed like it’s not even there. This is a great value for the money that’s affordably priced, very easy to use, easy to install and can be moved to whatever craft you are flying which will save professional pilots a lot of money. ... show more

Lightweight Remote ID Module With Useful Recovery Features Built In
I like this Ruko module because it handles more than just the Remote ID requirement. The added GPS tracking and beeper give it some practical value beyond compliance, especially if you fly FPV or smaller aircraft where a bad landing can make recovery difficult. The module itself is impressively small and light. At around half an ounce, it does not add much bulk, and the included mounting options make it easy to attach without permanently dedicating it to one aircraft. I especially like having hook-and-loop, tape, and zip-tie options because different frames need different mounting approaches. Setup through the Ruko app is straightforward, and once configured it gives me a separate location source that does not depend entirely on the aircraft staying powered. That is one of the biggest advantages here. If the drone goes down and shuts off, this module still has its own battery and can continue helping with recovery. The beeper is also more useful than it sounds. GPS can get you close, but finding a small drone in tall grass, brush, or uneven terrain can still be frustrating. Being able to trigger an audible signal once I am nearby makes the final search much easier. Battery life is good for this type of accessory. The rated runtime is long enough to cover several flights, and charging through USB-C keeps things simple. I would still make checking the module battery part of my normal pre-flight routine. One thing worth remembering is that Remote ID requirements depend on how and where you fly, so I would still verify the current FAA rules for your specific aircraft and operation rather than assuming every flight needs the same setup. Overall: This is a well-designed little Remote ID module that adds useful recovery features without much weight. The independent battery, GPS assistance, beeper, flexible mounting options, and simple USB-C charging make it a practical addition for drones or RC aircraft that need external Remote ID capability. ... show more

Great Upgrade for Added Drone Tracking and Peace of Mind
I’m very impressed with the Ruko R111S Remote ID Module. It’s a useful accessory for adding Remote ID functionality, GPS tracking/finding, and a beeper to a compatible drone. Having these features in one compact module makes it much easier to keep track of the drone and adds an extra level of confidence when flying. The GPS tracker/finder is one of my favorite features. Knowing there’s a way to help locate the drone if it lands somewhere unexpected or becomes difficult to find is a major convenience. The built-in beeper is another thoughtful addition, especially when the drone lands in grass, bushes, or another area where it might not be immediately visible. I fly typically only 30-60 minutes and the battery has lasted just fine. The module is compact and doesn’t feel unnecessarily bulky. Installation and setup were straightforward, and once everything was configured, it was easy to use. I also appreciate having the Remote ID capability integrated into a dedicated accessory rather than needing to deal with a complicated setup. For drone owners who want additional tracking and locating functionality, this is a very practical accessory. It provides useful features without taking away from the overall flying experience. The value is here too at this price point. Overall, the Ruko R111S is well-designed, convenient, and gives me extra peace of mind while flying. The combination of Remote ID, GPS tracking, and a built-in beeper makes it a worthwhile addition to a compatible Ruko drone. Definitely a 5-star accessory for drone owners! ... show more

Cheap insurance for an expensive drone
After losing my drone during a sudden windstorm, I learned firsthand how stressful it can be trying to locate a downed aircraft. The drone was fighting the wind, which rapidly depleted the battery, and it became a race against time to find it using the drone’s built-in tracking before the battery died. That experience is exactly why I wanted this Ruko Remote ID module, and I feel much more comfortable flying with it installed. One of my favorite features is that it has its own built-in rechargeable battery, so it isn't dependent on the drone's battery for power. If the drone battery becomes depleted, the module can continue operating. The audible alarm is also a huge advantage when searching for a drone in grass, brush, or anywhere it may be difficult to see. The kit includes everything needed for installation, including mounting materials and a charging cable. The module itself is surprisingly small and lightweight, although it does add some weight to the aircraft. Be sure to account for the additional weight and make sure you're complying with any applicable rules or regulations wherever you're flying. It feels durable and well made, and for such an inexpensive device, it could potentially save you hundreds of dollars by helping recover a lost aircraft. I highly recommend this for drones and other compatible flying RC aircraft. After my experience losing a drone, mine won't be leaving the ground without it. Easy 5 stars. ... show more

Lightweight Remote ID Solution for Commercial Drone Use
I purchased this Ruko R111S Remote ID module for my smallest and most inexpensive drone that I use for commercial work. Since the drone doesn’t have built-in Remote ID, this module allows me to meet FAA requirements without having to upgrade to a more expensive aircraft. The module is compact, lightweight, and easy to attach without adding much extra weight to the drone. I also like that it has its own battery, GPS tracking, and a built-in beeper to help locate it if needed. It’s a practical solution for keeping an older or more affordable drone useful for commercial operations. Adds about 11 grams. On a Mini 4K makes it an even 260 grams. Overall, it’s a worthwhile accessory for drone operators who need Remote ID compliance without replacing a perfectly capable aircraft. ... show more
