I have a DSLR camera and one of my lenses is a veritable cannon. (No pun intended; it's a Canon lens.) The lens is a 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom which is long and heavy. 'With this lens, you carry it and the camera comes with; you don't carry the camera and leave the huge lens hanging out stressing your camera's lens mount, regardless whether some people say that's OK. Okay so I needed a shoulder strap to connect to this huge lens with comes with its own tripod mount. This one was a good price and seems as well made as anything in its price range. My only disappointment is that the chrome clasp, while very heavy duty, is rather tricky to work with two fingers. I'd have preferred a different kind, the one where a little slide button opens up a gap in the clasp instead. It's not a serious problem, just something I'd have preferred. I am fully confident that this strap will hold my huge lens and DSLR without failing me. ... show more

This replaces a camera strap I've had for over a decade, but a piece of the clip failed recently, so needed a replacement. This strap supports a sony a7cmkii with a sony fe 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 g oss. quite heavy as you can imagine, combined weight of Sony a7C II camera with mounted Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens about 5.81 lbs (2,629 grams) or 6.14 lbs (2,787 grams) with the tripod collar/foot attached. I've read a lot of reviews of this strap as not being comfortable nor effective. In order for the strap to be comfortable AND effective, the strap must be adjusted. I take up the strap in the back, and for me - I am 65" tall, so I adjust the strap to be sitting on my right hip at the belt loop, so I need to adjust the strap to my height. I don't CUT the strap, but take up about 3-4", and loop it up, then staple, tape and then staple again so the strap is now extra secure when my camera is attached to the tripod collar, NOT the camera. It sits at my right hip with the strap hooked to the lens tripod collar/foot attached. IF your strap is attached to the mount on the base of the camera, it will not only be very veeery awkward, BUT the lens will be pointing downward, so it would be VERY awkward AND difficult to easily grab your camera. If the strap length is not adjusted CORRECTLY, then the camera will bounce/wiggle more than a fat snake with springy boots on as I've read the too many reviews complaining of that movement. Really! That movement is cause by improper balance!! You'll know when it's correct when the camera tripod collar attached to the strap, will sit on your hip, and IF properly balanced and the strap is at its proper length, will NOT wiggle, will NOT bounce, and will definitely NOT move at all unless you grab it. If it does wiggle, you simply do not have the strap at the correct length to sit on your hip, and thus, will bounce, wiggle and swing from side-to-side. The balance and length of the strap must be "perfect" or you'll have problems very well reported by others. I've been using the R-strap concept of various brands and models for over a decade as it's the greatest strap in the world IF used correctly! I previously used the original strap that came with any of the too-many cameras owned/used and paid to have the strap renovated, re-designed etc to be more useful than just a neck strap since I never used that flimsy strap around MY neck; I'd just twist that strap around my wrist and hold my camera tightly in hand, as that's how I shot for many decades, having picked up my first film camera in the mid-70s, TiLL this r-strap concept came to be, and have used it since exclusively. Remember, the camera must be perfectly balanced on your hip, and the strap length must be adjusted in length to where it's comfortable for you. For me, I'm right-handed and the camera sits on my right hip, strap going over my left shoulder. When this is done correctly, the camera doesn't swing, NOR wobble, AND when you grab the camera, it will come up perfectly, and you'll look like a seasoned-PRO cameraman! Really! ... show more

I bought this for a zoo trip. It fits perfectly on my Fuji XT20 and it's incredibly comfortable. The padding on the strap is really thick and it has a little pocket for a spare SD card. I also took this strap to several outdoor events and it securely stayed in place when I was running around taking pictures. Definitely recommend as an affordable camera strap. ... show more

Bought this because I thought it was cool to have storage in the strap. Sadly my Canon batteries don’t fit in the strap. I could put memory cards in there, but I might as well just carry a bag so I can store everything together. The strap itself seems okay.
