  • Update: Now working perfectly
Size: 8K_Fiber 33FT Color: Green 8K Fiber
Update (12/03/2020): Ruipro reached out to me directly offering an updated version of this cable to replace the faulty one. I am happy to report that the replacement cable is working perfectly at 4K120Hz, 4:4:4 10-bit with G-Sync enabled on my LG CX/3090. I can't fault them for the growing pains given how problematic the rollout of HDMI 2.1 features has been for basically every manufacturer. Ruipro stepped up and made it right, and I would not hesitate to recommend them in the future. ... show more

  • Doesn't pass HDCP protected content like Netflix or other movie streaming services.
Size: 8K_Fiber 20FT Color: Green 8K Fiber
Item doesn't function. Specifically, it did not pass HDCP protected content. Cheapo HDMI cable does pass HDCP protected content. Not sure who to blame for the HDCP nonsense, but the issue is at the cable and/or the failure of the manufacturer to include helpful instructions. So either the cable is defective, or the manufacturer failed to include adequate instructions. In any event, I am returning the cable. For the amount of money paid, they need to include instructions that explain additional steps necessary, if no additional steps are necessary, then the cable should function when used as it was intended, and it does not. ... show more

  • Actually works with 3080
Size: 8K_Fiber 33FT Color: Green 8K Fiber
I can't believe I found a cable that actually works for the RTX 3080 and my OLED. It seems like the majority of cables are sold by sleezy sellers that claim 48 gbps yet barely get 18. While I can't say this is 48 gbps since I don't have an avr that tests throughput, I can say this: The 30ft cable sends 4k at 120hz with RGB 8bit, gsync enabled and HDR. And no drop outs. I had ONE drop out and I believe the adapter that gives power through usb caused it as removing it has provided dropout free signal ever since. Another point: this cable is VERY thin and flexible, comes nicely packaged and feels good quality. I'm very impressed overall with it and the only thing that kills it a little for me is the price. $170 is a LOT to pay and I feel is intentionally marked up well beyond fair market value as a result of there being so little options out currently for people needing longer cables. If you only need 10-15ft you can get copper cables that cost $15-$20. And I know fiber optic doesn't increase the price THAT much, toslink cables are fiber optic and cost very little, so this is clearly just an opportunity to make huge margins in a niche category. Everything said, I can't help but recommend this cable to anyone looking to send hdmi 2.1 signal further than 15 ft, at least until some competition drives pricing down. ... show more

  • Great Signals Achieved Over Long Runs
Size: 8K_Fiber 40FT Color: Green 8K Fiber
I'm using two of these in the 40' version to achieve HDR while 4K @ 60hz though the ceiling from a Marantz 8805AV processor to an Epson 6050UB projector and from the Marantz to another 4K TV in a different room. I'm using these without the included USB signal booster without any problems. I pulled these through busy ceilings filled with many wires, pipes, ducts, web joists, etc., as well as up and down walls with insulation and holes drilled in top plates, and they took all of the pulling over the long runs without issue. I have no way to test whether they're capable of 8K @ 120hz, but these were great solutions for my long runs where I couldn't previously get the full signal to my equipment to take advantage of its collective capabilities. I plan to buy at least two more for other rooms. ... show more

  • Order three, all three don’t work!
So I bought a new Apple TV 4K, and I decided I want to update my older 4K cables to the newer HDMI 2.1 8K cables. It was probably over kill, but I figured I might as well update all the cables since I also recently got an Xbox Series X and PS5. I asked on a home theater group on Facebook what people would recommend, and this company came up. The group recommended their fiber HDMI cables, but since I only needed at most a 10 foot cable, that their newer 8K cables would be fine. So I placed an order for 3 cables, and I hooked up the 10 foot cables to my devices, to the home theater system, and to my LG OLED. I was watching on my Apple TV, and everything was fine… right up until I started streaming a movie in Dolby Vision. It stopped almost immediately, like it was frozen. I clicked a few buttons, and I got an error message saying that this cable didn’t support what was being displayed. I was flabbergasted. I had no issues with my old 4K cables, clearly the newest cable that seemed highly recommended in a home theater Facebook group I was in. I thought, maybe it’s just one bad cable. So I went into the settings on the Apple TV to do a compatibility test, first cable said it has stability issues. I hooked up the second, same issue, and the third said the same thing. I ordered three 8K cables, and they can’t handle 4K Dolby Vision HDR. My older HDMI cables, work great so maybe I don’t have to replace them yet until I get a newer TV and receiver that require it. I just don’t think I should have to give this company $130 for a single working HDMI cable. Their $20 cable should be able to do that job they are advertising it can do. ... show more

  • Worked great when other cables didn't
Size: 8K_Fiber 40FT Color: Green 8K Fiber
My Sony A9G is across big the room from my Denon AVR X8500H receiver, DirectV Genie and 4K Apple TV. A 40' cable is required to reach. I tried a Sewell Light Link Pro first. It never worked reliably with the AppleTV set to DolbyVision, whether connected directly to the AppleTV or routed through the Denon. The AppleTV HDMI test reported problems with the connection. During use, the picture would flash on and off, sometimes rapidly, sometimes only occasionally. I returned it. Next I tried a Monoprice 8K cable. It worked well though the Denon but wasn't reliable when connected to the AppleTV. I killed this cable while outing it around the walls. Not sure how but it was likely my fault, so I had to eat its $180 cost. Next I tried a very expensive ($400+) Celerity Tek UFO cable. It didn't work at all. Perhaps it was just a bad unit. Returned it. Finally I tried the RUIPRO. It works great from the AppleTV, the Denon and later a DirectV Genie. No flashing picture. No problem. Very happy to find a solution and this cable is great. ... show more
