This is the only cooling vest I have found which is also a functional harness with a clip. I have a French bulldog, so I didn’t want to use a harness with a cooling vest or shirt on top of it- too many layers! This is both in one. And it fits! I was worried it wouldn’t because she is short and chunky. But it’s adjustable in 3 places. I got her a size small, and she is 30 lbs. I will say, like another Frenchie or pug owner said here, that it was almost too long. If she were a boy dog, it would probably get peed on accidentally. Luckily I dont have to worry about that with a female.

I have MANY ruffwear products and ordered my dogs normal size however it was still a few inches to big. Love the product and the brand just size down! Also the purple is like a blue purple(very cute)

I live in South Florida and we have had almost a month straight of heat warnings with feels like temps over 107 degrees. I have a 7 year old havanese that has 1/3 of her coat grown in and I was concerned. I could not believe the difference using this! I actually store this in a plastic container in water in the fridge. When it's time for an afternoon walk I get it out...loosely wring it out and put it on her. No panting when she gets home and she is very comfortable wearing it! After taking it off, her coat is damp which also helps because my ac does not pull down under 85 some recent days.

We have a large 86lb senior collie mix and he gets really hot. I do think this helps him i love it as just a harness though. Its very comfy for him to wear a long time and also works to assist him if needed. Great product!

The product is well made but the sizing can be confusing. According to the sizing chart, my dog, a 40 pound Saluki, would wear a size small but with other Ruffwear models, he wears a medium, so I ordered a mediu. Unfortunately, as you can see from the pic, the medium appears to be the correct length but is too big in the belly and cannot be adjusted smaller. I ordered a small directly from Ruffwear, which while a tad shorter than would be perfect, fits in all areas. I will return the medium. The pricing is outright gouging, but you know what, I paid it. Meh.

This cooling vest is great and has been perfect for my Boston Terrier on warm days. It’s easy to put on, holds water well, and stays damp for a while! My only complaint is that if your dog rolls around in the dirt it will be super hard to clean, so unfortunately it looks dingy after a few wears… that said, looks don’t really matter too much- it functions well. I would recommend without hesitation.
