I got this for my friend's son for his 7th birthday and he absolutely LOVES it! He loves playing dress up (especially if we're talking about super hero dress up) and this costume is the perfect addition to his collection! He is an extremely small kid for his age. He literally still wears size 4T clothing. He's about 38 pounds and 42 inches tall, so I got him a size small. The small is actually a tiny bit big, but that's fine because he still has some room to grow into it. He's a pretty active kid and is always running around, doing flips etc., and the costume has held up well throughout his antics. I'd imagine that if the fit was more snug it might not be as "durable." The costume isn't super thick and is definitely a thin stretchy material. One thing to note, this costume does NOT come with any built in muscle. I absolutely didn't expect it to based on the price point. I actually think it's kind of nice without it, as the costume doesn't get as hot when he's running around and playing. The red boot portion of the costume is basically something that just covers your shoes. There are stirrup traps that will go under whatever shoes your child is wearing to keep the legs in place. Your child could wear any boot, sneaker, etc. underneath and the "shoe" portion of the red is a decent size and not too snug. Overall, I think this costume is a great value. There aren't many other super hero costumes you can find for such a great price. I highly recommend! ... show more

I was concerned about how this costume would look since it didn’t have the build in muscles I was looking for, but OMG my son looked amazing and cute in it!! It fit perfectly! My 3 year old is a bit wide in the chest area anyway and made it look great! I love the way the legs looked tapered yet cool and perfect! My son loves wearing it! It doesn’t even matter it does not come with a mask! He was happy with the cape. I’m guessing it didn’t come with one because some toddlers like mine don’t like things covering the face it can be scary. I liked that the costume that fit just right to size but if you want more room I would say a size bigger. I thought it looking tight made it cute. My son also had pj leggings and a long sleeve under it. But every parent and child feels different. At the end of the day we were all happy with it and it didn’t need the build in muscle because the size as well as the costume made it look great! We got the 3T ... show more

My boy loved it they had favorite super hero day in pre school and he LOVES Superman so I thought OMG THIS IS PERFECT! he's a thick little boy for a 4 year old but I got him a small I didn't want the costume to be dragging off of him plus he was only going to use it that 1 day so I took the risk and got him a small and he still had some room in there WITH clothes under definitely recommend 😇😇 ... show more

I got this for my 3 year old (size small) for Halloween. He LOVED it! A few things noted: - the elastic that is supposed to wrap around the shoes broke (on one side) before we even put it over his feet - The cape hangs pretty low in the back, and my son did not like the way the velcro felt against his neck in the front. It's not a great cape - we actually tossed it and used a higher quality one we had previously purchased. Overall though, this is just as described and fit my son perfectly. He is pretty large for his age (3 year old boy that wears 5T or xs). If your three year old is on the smaller size this might be a little large on them. He has since worn this to our Aquarium "Super Hero day" and to a friend's costume party. It's been a hit every time! ... show more

This costume is perfect for my 3 year old (34lbs, 37 inches tall). I purchased this one after I purchased another one/type that ended up being too small. I debated on this one (without the muscles) and the one with the muscle. I think this was an excellent choice because he loves to play in it and I found out the muscles in the other one are not "soft", so I was concerned about that for a 3 year old. The muscle version would probably be fine for an older child, but I wanted something soft and fun so this was perfect. He loves it. Everybody at Halloween loved it. People wanted to take his picture because it was super cute. I love that the red "boot" come all the way down and over his shoes. I couldn't find this in stores, so I'm glad that Amazon had it. It was really perfect and it looks so cute on him. I'm sure your little superman would love it too. ... show more

I bought this costume in toddler size for my 2 1/2 year old son. He is probably average in size and the costume fits him without being too big or too small. We went to a Halloween party and I was able to fit jogging pants and a long sleeve tee under it without it being too tight. It seems the fabric has a little stretch to it. To say my son loves this costume is an understatement. He wears the cape and belt every day, all day, taking it off only for nap and bedtime. It looks like the cape is attached to the costume from the picture but isn't. It clasps together in the front with velcro. My only issue with the costume is the belt. The first time he wore the costume the belt started to fall apart. The belt has a front piece that is sewn to a piece of fabric on each side and they tie in the back. The fabric is barely held on with a piece of thread. After I sewed it back on, it was fine. No big deal really for the use it is getting. I recommend this costume. ... show more

This was a last minute Halloween costume because I realized the one I had bought was the wrong size just three days before Halloween… So I bought this one and I am so glad I did. My son wears 3t and it fit him perfectly. (Size 2-4) it was also super comfortable for him, he actually got upset when I went to take it off him. I think the sizing is perfect, I think if your child wears 2t up to 4t I think this would work. No complaints here. ... show more
