This is commercial quality very heavy duty. I could see it lasting a lifetime if you don't abuse it. I'm usually mine to store 5 lb of bread flour in . It fits perfectly. You need to buy lid separately. I bought a few in different sizes and I'm satisfied with all of them.

    • Lid sold separately, picture misleading
We bought two of the two quart containers. I think we were looking at the dimensions for the wrong size when we purchased (our mistake). But even the dimensions listed for the two quart are not accurate. The description says 9.2 x 8.8 x 4 inches. I couldn't find anything that measures 9.2. The diameter at the top is more like 8.2", and the depth is less than 4". In our haste to buy them on our phone, we didn't notice that the lid is sold separately, and the lids are quite a bit more expensive than the containers which seems a little ridiculous. My last complaint is that the picture of the two quart container is misleading. It looks a lot taller than it actually is. These containers will not work for what we purchased them for, and I do not want to spend the money on the lids. It costs more than we paid for them to return them. So now we're stuck with useless containers that we don't have room for in our very small apartment. Guess we'll either trash them or give them away. Just wanted to make sure anyone else who buys them knows what they're really getting. ... show more

I do not recommend. Between this container and the lid (sold separately), the lid is extremely difficult to remove. Way too tight. Search for something else.

    • Sturdy but NOT a Storage Container
I gave this only 1 star because it is called a storage container, yet it does not have a cover. It is very sturdy, as all Rubbermaid products are, and for the price, I didn't want to bother to return it. It makes a great garbage bowl on the counter when I am preparing dinner.
