There were a few issues but not enough to detract from the 5 star rating. This was the only one I could find that was actually clear And would fit in my manufactured homes upper cupboards- and just barely. The good news is that it was the nicest of those I considered. I love that is is clear and has the indentation for gripping. The latch and spout work easily. No problems opening the top to remove for filling or cleaning. You can see at a glance whether you need to buy more cereal. Functions as advertised. The issues were that it might not have been new. The inner plastic bag it arrived inside was opened and the product has a scratch on the side. (see red circle). It also has a giant sticker on the side (see red rectangle(ish) near the top of photo) that was some sort of code sticker. To get it off I used a hair dryer which only took off the first layer of the sticker, leaving behind the goo) and used an equal amounts of baking soda mixed with cooking oil to remove the goo. (You make a paste and leave it on a few minutes. I used a scrubby sponge and it worked well.) It's not worth my time and effort to replace it due to the mark and relieves me of being the first to scratch it. Bonus. I thought husband would hate it, but he loves it. I love getting ugly boxes that wouldn't fit my cabinet off the counter. ... show more

I've been using these for years and HIGHLY recommend. The only truly airtight container for flour, sugar or other products that would otherwise attract pests. Great quality. Beautiful. Long-lasting. Dishwasher safe on top rack only.

These are perfectly sized for all your medium storage needs. I'm using them for cat treat storage, garden seed storage, small batch grain storage... the list is endless. They're strong, they seal exceptionally well, and they are crystal clear so you can see exactly what's inside. No issues distinguishing between yellow grits and white grits. The seal ensures no moisture penetration for long term garden seed storage. And my cat's treats don't go stale like they would in the original cheesy zipper bags. Plus they don't require disassembly for cleaning like a lot of other storage containers. Pop them in the top rack dishwasher and you're good to go. So many uses! ... show more

The airtight seal works well and keeps cereal fresh longer than standard boxes. I also like the clear design since it makes it easy to see how much is left without opening it. The container feels sturdy and well made, and it holds up nicely in the dishwasher without any warping or cloudiness. The size is convenient for smaller quantities, though it may not fit an entire family size box of cereal. One small drawback is that the lid can be a bit stiff to open at times, especially if your hands are wet. It is not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind. Also, mine arrived with some scratches from delivery, which was a little disappointing. These containers are amazing! They wash well, super clear, and do not hold odors! We store everything bagels in them and you can't smell them at all from the outside and once washed there is no remaining odor in container either. We used for shrimp leftovers in fridge (I hate seafood) and there were no stinky smells. I will definitely be using for cut onion storage this summer too. My son bought me a set as part of my birthday presents and I am hooked!!! Best containers I've ever had. My addiction. All the sizes. The containers fit inside each other and the lids fit each other. My leftovers last longer, I have a long, big one that I cut a head of lettuce in half, out both halves down and my lettuces lasts a long time. Putting food away has never been easier. All my left over veg prep just go into the smaller sizes. They wash up brilliantly in the dishwasher, things that can stain other products like tomato sauce, I just rub a little Dawn dish soap around and into the dishwasher. No syaining. They freeze, fridge, microwave and dishwasher safe. I'm never looking through a dozen lids to find one that fits. They are airtight so sometimes getting the lid off of leftovers can take some muscle but air tight is what keeps the food fresher longer. I send sets as gifts. I asked my bonus daughter if she liked the set I sent her because I never heard and she got so excited telling me how much she and her man loved them. It blew me away that she was so excited about them. They are in an apartment without a dishwasher until her dad moves and sells them the house so storage is at a premium and dishes is a chore so Rubbermaid Brilliance helps them with both those challenges. Sometimes I feel like I'm a Rubbermaid Brilliance representative I preach them so much and send them to people for gifts. They can be spendy, I wait for sales or returns but the quality is there, it saves me money on food waste, I put away and stack leftovers in the fridge in a jiffy...
