I took a chance and bought this Rtic vs brand Y and recommended this cooler, reasons; Handy and fits exactly between my dog kennel and jeep gladiator bed. Handle vs strap much more handy than some strap.. ( don’t believe the reviews that say it’s flimsy and pull off) I 6’3 “ and about 220 lbs stout and reach in my truck and jerk it out and cooler comes out full of ice and c’ol drinks. Feet stay stuck on and put , keep cooler from sliding round back of truck.. Drains front and back handy depending on if you parked up or down.” Get a full drain on cooler. This cooler will always stay in back of the truck for me and my Buddy have a cold drink / whatever.. int Texas this is mandatory. It will stay cold for 1-2 days for sure./ Tip: get that cable lock and slip clip to at least someone wanting this cooler.. slow them down.. they gotta come back with bolt cutters.. These are well made, keep things cold very well, and do it for a lot less than a Yeti. Of course the downside of these coolers (as well as a Yeti) is they are heavy. Otherwise, it's what you want for a long trip/day out to keep your food cold

    • Sturdy, and a great bang for the buck!

In the month that I have used this, I have put it through the ringer. I took it on a 3 day canoe trip, and it kept my steaks and drink cold throughout the 80 degree days perfectly. I also took this to the beach for a week. Only refreshed the ice 3 times in the 6 (90 degree) days I was there - and one of those times was because I spilled the ice and contents out like an idiot. The only downside about this cooler (and the reason why I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5) is that the rubber feet on the bottom are not permanently attached. I lost one of the rubber feet on the river trip, but a quick call to RTIC customer support resolved the issue. Their friendly customer service rep shipped a new foot to me, and I only had to pay for shipping. The rubber footing issue is easily resolved by using a waterproof superglue to secure each of the feet to the cooler itself. For the value, and reliability, I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking something that is durable and reliable, but unwilling to pay for the "YETI" name (is the name worth 75$ to you?). ... show more

Works great! Keep in mind, the width dimensions do not include the metal handle. I purchased to fit a specific space under a leaning post on a boat and couldn’t keep the handle.

I love this one! It's big enough to fit my lunch plus my drinks for work with no problem. I kepted nutty bars in mine for 2 days and they were still cold. Just bummed out that it didn't come with any stickers or anything like that.

I purchased this for my work truck in the forlorn hope of having something cool to drink on rooftop workdays. I freeze water bottles at night and use those to condition other drinks, snack and lunch. Enough room for everything I need. Also got the internal divider to separate things ( Divider will not prevent water crossover). Tried to get basket but smallest Rtic sells is too big for 20qt. As others have mentioned, the only weakness I see is the handle. In less than 2 weeks I’ve already popped it loose once trying to position cooler by the handle. It will fail but I’ll deal with it. Loaded with pineapple snacks, a half dozen 12oz Gatorade bottles, plastic grocery bag of 5 mandarin oranges and 8 frozen water bottles last all day in front seat of hot work van. And water bottles still have ice in them at end of 12hr shifts. Does the job I need and I’m happy with purchase. ... show more
