Wanted a new boat cooler, and didn't like either the weight nor the space (in)efficiency of rotomolded coolers. This retains ice for 2-3 days using freezer packs and recommended ice-beer ratio. We have a big wheeled Yeti that does retain ice longer (like 4-5 days in very hot weather) BUT I don't need to keep ice that long in the boat, and much prefer the lower cost, better space efficiency and decent performance of this RTIC. These are expensive but still about half the price of a Yeti for what appears to be the same level of quality and long-lasting cooling. Be aware that the interior dimensions are a lot smaller than the exterior; it's a pretty big cooler for the amount of food that fits into it but I'm sacrificing the space (in my van) for the superior insulation. ... show more

Overall I like it. I have only used it once but it held the ice pretty well for a day. Need to look into the multi day use a bit more and see how it holds up. It’s really light and easy to transport which is great. There is a fishing rod holder attachment (non RTIC) that I got that was available on Amazon that works well for transporting the rods on my cart. I love the color, and the 32 qt is the perfect size in my opinion, not too big or bulky and you don’t need a massive bag of ice to be able to cool things. The only issue I have with it is the 32 qt cooler basket is out of stock, and has been out of stock at RTIC for some time. Customer service says they have no time frame as to when they’d be back, which is slightly frustrating because I was really looking forward to using it. ... show more
