  • KEEPS DRINKS "ICE COLD" IN THE HOT FLORIDA SUN!
My wife bought me this RTIC Cooler for my birthday and I've been quite happy with it after a month of use. Living only 15 minutes from one of the top beaches in the world (Siesta Key Beach), we enjoy the surf and sand as much as possible. However, until I started using the RTIC cooler, we really didn't have a cooler that kept our drinks "ice cold" for very long in the hot Florida sun. This cooler has been great! In fact, after 3 visits to the beach (at least 4 hours each time), I'm still using the same bag of ice! After each trip, I just put the ice bag back in my freezer (less whatever ice may have been used for some of our mixed drinks). Some people have complained about the zipper being tough to use, but I've had no problems since I've used the provided silicone grease tube to keep the zipper lubed. The carry strap makes it easy to carry the cooler the long distance from the parking lot to the shore. The pockets on the front and back of the cooler are convenient to keep a bottle opener, too. Like many Amazon shoppers, I take leaving reviews serious; I hope you've found this review helpful in making your purchase decision. ... show more

  • Not Worth The Money Does Not Keep Ice
Color: Blue/Grey Style: 30 Can
I recently purchased this cooler. Apparently the older ones are great as a friend of mine has had one for a few years and his keeps ice for about 48 hours. Mine keeps ice for about 12 hours in 60 degree weather. Last night I filled it with ice and beer around 4pm. It was 60 degrees and the cooler was never in direct sunlight. When I checked it at 7am all of the ice was gone. The beers were still cold but there was no ice. It is slightly better than the other $30 soft coolers that I have but costs 5 times as much. This is not worth the money. Save your cash and buy a cheaper cooler. ... show more

  • Not worth it, come on rtic!
Color: Seafoam Green Style: 30 Can
I'm sorry but when you shell out that much money youd expect more from this product. Kind of like tumblers that are amazing and keep drinks cold and warm for hours. However this product is worthless. The only thing is that the material seemed like it would hold up and the color was nice to look at. However it did not have enough room for ice and a 30pack. I placed a lot less in this cooler with no room left. I've also tried leaving the cooler out, placing it in a fridge, placing already fridged items inside, I've used ice, etc. Nothing stays cold for more than 2 hrs. The ice melted within a day. The whole point of this was to keep things colder longer without the need for a fridge, within a reasonable time. I figured a few hours or even a day with ice would suffice. Nope. Does nothing more with less room than a cheap cooler youd by at Walmart on sale. So what's the point? Maybe I didnt read the fine print but so what? If the cups keep my coffee warm for 6 hrs, ice cold drink for more than 12hrs what should a expect of an expensive cooler? ... show more

  • Bad Performance, Not even close to YETI
Color: Blue/Grey Style: 30 Can
After watching many “ice melt” videos and reading a lot of reviews I purchased this cooler. I could not be more DISAPPOINTED. We used this for one long car trip (6 hours) and the food was all getting warm by the end. We used several RTIC ice packs which are supposed to be better than actual ice. This is our first soft pack cooler and I knew the performance would not be as good as my hard sided Yeti. But, I was shocked that this could not keep the food cold for one long trip. The zipper was completely closed but to be honest we did open it from time to time during the trip to get food out. From a build stand point, you can tell right away that this is not a nice as the Yeti brand. The material is just not the same. The padding on the inside does look nice and thick and it has a good 2 inch worth of padding on the lid which seems nice. The straps look durable but we didn’t really put it through its paces. The side material feels cheap. From the build perspective it looks second rate. If you get this, it looks like you bought an imitation Yeti one. Which I would not mind because I am interested in performance and not the looks. But, since the performance was so bad, I ended up with a cheap looking poorly performing product. My daughter has an allergy and we often take much of her food with us to be safe. For something like this, we thought a soft sided cooler would allow us to take enough for a road trip. Fill up with Ice when we got to the hotel and we would be all set. We were sadly mistaken. When we got home, I purchased a similar sized Yeti as a replacement and on numerous trips it has worked out great. It looks better and most importantly, it works much better. All the food stays froze or very cold during the entire trip. So, I tried to save a few dollars on this and my conclusion, it is not worth it. Either go cheap and get a normal soft side or spend the money for the real deal. These RTICs are priced in the middle but perform like the bottom. ... show more

  • Fantastic cooler, worried about the life of the zipper
Color: Blue/Grey Style: 30 Can
Out of the box, this thing is made of super durable material and what appears to be the exact same material that YETI uses in their flip coolers...I’ve taken this on two trips now in the heat of the summer. Both for 3 days/2 nights. Both trips were in the high 80’s F. The first trip I let the whole cooler sit in my chest freezer over night before packing it with cold beers and ice. It held about 18 beers on on the bottom and held about a 10lb bag of ice on top of that. On the morning of Day 3 there was still a small amount of Ice. The second trip, I didn’t pre chill the cooler. At the end of the second day, still a few handfuls of Ice, melted but still very cold water by the morning...all in all very happy with it considering it’s a soft cooler. I also grabbed this on prime day for $115 so about 65% cheaper than a YETI. The only real advantage I can say the YETI has is their heavy duty YKK zipper. My only concern with this cooler is their zipper doesn’t seem very stout. I’ve also seen issues on some forums I’m on with people saying the zipper goes out sooner than they had hoped... ... show more
