Light, solid, no excessive airspace built in. Fits perfectly in my rtic backpack cooler. I recommend two packs of you get a cooler like that:one on each side, top and bottom of any freezer or really temp-sensitive items. Then there’s room for a layer of ten cans on top.

Someone borrowed my husbands lunchbox ice packs and he needed replacements. We tried a few out there but the trend seems to be that, like everything else these days, the manufacturers got cheap and cut the size, and the tiny little ice packs on every site, thaw way too fast. These RTIC Refreezable Reusable Cooler Ice Packs are thick, like ice packs used to be. Just in the first use, we could tell they kept his food cold all day and he works in a hot shop. We have one of RTIC’s tumblers, I have found it to be very close in quality and performance to our Yeti tumblers. Honestly, I was expecting much of the same with these ice packs while enjoying the savings RTIC purchases provide. I like these RTIC Freezable reusable coolers. They keep things very cool and when I take things out of the cooler they are not dripping wet. My only suggestion to rtic is the picture on the listing and in the description is inaccurate. I bought the small size which is 1.1LB ice. In the picture it shows 5.3LB ice and doesn’t change when you select a different size. There is no mention in the description, about how many pounds of ice each size is.
