Part 2 Revised Today I filled it with two frozen packs on bottomz, 8 cans of beer and 3 sodas. Also two samwiches and meet tray. Then ice cubes , after 6 hours on a sunny 70 degree day on the beach and opening and closing, there was very little water at the bottom, the two frozenpacks were still frozen, vert impressed.after 6 hours my beer was ice cold. Part1 bought this because Yetis are way too expensive and all the reviews said the RTIC is just as good or slightly better at keeping ice. I filled the cooler with ice from the grocery store, put in a few cans of beer and let it sit in my kitchen at room temperature. After 24 hours, still solid ice, very little melted water at the bottom. After 48 hours, more of a ice cube slush mixture, by morning on the third day it was all melted but still ice cold. Im guessing about 60 hours of ice life. I also read that bigger cubes last longer and there are probably some variables with ice and atmospheric conditions. I am very happy with how long it kept ice. UPDATE!! RTIC immediately did a full warranty replacement! Wow!! Very cool 5 star customer service!! Thanks RTIC! FATAL FLAW!! My last one lasted a year before the zipper separated. Thought i did something wrong. This one lasted 3 months before separation. No zipper? No COOLER!! DO NOT BUY THIS

The cooler stays cold all day long. The only issue i have with it is the zipper. The very end where the zipper seals the container shut broke the first day. Other then that issue its a great bag for plant workers.

I bought this cooler because I travel often for work. I have not had issues yet with the zipper as others have stated, and it has worked amazing at keeping stuff cool. I paired this with the Cooler Shock ice packs and it can keep 6 meals frozen for a couple days. In the 30 can version, I can usually get 6 meals 3 Cooler Shock large ice packs, and some other fruits and veggies in there as well. Great cooler for boat or a weekend trip. Keeps items cold and the waterproof interior is great so you can use Ice instead of icepacks which take up space. Love that it is lighter than a hard cooler. Holds plenty of cans/bottles for 1-2 people. Only downfall is the zipper is pretty tight, need both hands to open/close, but this is not a concern as the tightness i am sure helps with cold retention. ... show more

EDIT (4/26/2025): I have been working with customer service on this issue and they have been great. After trying to send a replacement zipper without success, we have returned this cooler for a replacement due to the issue detailed below. I purchased this cooler at the end of November. Yes, I bought it here on Amazon, but it is sold through the Rtic store, was shipped in an Rtic box, and of course is Rtic. I have used this cooler less than 10 times since then, with each use holding less than the capacity of this cooler. I went to pack it today and the zipper completely broke off. (See attached photos). I went with this brand because it seemed like the reasonable version of Yeti; and I have a general tote bag (not cooler) that I love for the pool/beach. However , this experience has raised question in the comparable quality with their coolers. I would go as far to say this is a design flaw or manufacturing issue.
