I bought the RTIC backpack cooler from Amazon hoping for reliable quality, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. The cooler kept things cold for short outings, but the overall build quality feels very cheap. The main problem is the zipper — it’s flimsy and broke after just a few uses. The pull tab snapped off, and now the zipper won’t close properly, rendering the backpack useless as a sealed cooler. I reached out to RTIC customer service expecting some help or a replacement, but they were completely unhelpful. They offered no real solution, no easy return process, and basically left me stuck with a defective product. For a brand that advertises durability for outdoor adventures, this level of quality and support is unacceptable. Save your money and skip this one. This cooler is perfect! We use this for the beach and lake days. It holds cans and ice for at least 24 hours. No leakage. It’s a it heavy if you load it down but once you place it on your back and buckle it’s secure and easy to haul. We love it.
