This looks nice and laid mostly flat right out of the box. It is soft and feels warm, and will be nice for winter mornings. Read the description of the thickness so you won't be disappointed by how thin it is, though a rug pad underneath will probably help that.

I bought this washable rug for my upper landing and it works beautifully for that purpose. With dogs in my house, washable rugs are necessary for easy housekeeping, and this rug fits that bill very well, adding to the others I have. I like the softness of it. The rug is not hard underfoot, and the nap is soft, not like cord of other hard-working floor coverings. I can toss it in the washer whenever I need to, and it comes out, lays flat (air dry over a line) and yet it doesn't skid around the smooth upstairs floors. This rug feels like velvet on your bare feet. It is a thin rug, so it will move around on top of carpet. I have gripper under it on a hardwood floor. It is old world looking, and quite beautiful. I used a steamer on it, and the shipping wrinkles dropped right out. Its best feature, however is its incredible softness. You just can’t see that in a picture. Normally an audible "omg ew" slips out of my mouth BEFORE I'm able to forcefully insert the foot when people show me their rugs: I hated them. All of the expensive designs looked like an art project from Barney the dinosaur requiring a big plop of paint be folded in a piece of construction paper "hamburger style." They all just looked so silly to me until I saw this one!
