Description

With so many indoor cat food options out there focused on ingredients, how do you know what’s best? Royal Canin knows there’s a science to it: researching each pet’s nutritional needs to create a diet with the precise combination of nutrients needed to live a magnificent life. Mature cats face a unique set of health challenges. Fewer playtime sessions can mean lower muscle mass. An older cat may have difficulty eating due to dental problems or a declining sense of smell and taste. And with a long life full of napping, grazing, and grooming, mature cats often have higher-than-healthy body weights and foul- smelling stool odor. What your cat eats can make all the difference. Royal Canin Indoor 7+ Dry Cat Food is formulated with key nutrients for indoor cats 7 years and older. This complete and balanced mature cat food contains a vitality complex of added vitamin C, EPA, and DHA to help keep your cat active and strong. Adapted phosphorus levels provide healthy renal support. Highly digestible proteins promote digestive health and help to reduce litter box odors. And the soft, square kibble is easy to digest because it’s easy for older cats to chew. For variety, complement this dry cat kibble with our Royal Canin Intense Beauty Wet Cat Food. With over 50 years of scientific research and observation, Royal Canin continues to deliver targeted nutrition to feed every pet’s magnificence. Not satisfied? Then neither are we. • Great food at a great price!
Size: 5.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
This is a fantastic cat food at an amazing price. It's over $10 cheaper than the same size bag at the big box pet stores. My 14-year-old long hair cat had been dealing with hairballs every week or so and a dull coat, so I switched from an indoor formula food to a mature hairball food by another popular leading brand that most vets feed. After 3 months, my old guy was still barfing at least 3-4 times a month. His coat did get a little softer, but the hairballs were the main issue so I started looking for another food. I decided on this one and couldn't be happier! Bodhi seems to enjoy the taste, and my 3-year-old Maine Coon really likes it, too. After a week to transition, they've been eating it exclusively for about 6 weeks. In that time, Bodhi has had two hairballs but none in the last 3 weeks! I just noticed this morning how silky and shiny his coat is! Also, he's been more playful and running through the house chasing my younger cat. The litter boxes are tucked away in a corner of each bathroom, and I've been nearby when they have used them. The smell of their feces is minimal and they're small and firm. To me, this means there is less filler and junk in this food and that they are absorbing it well. Both of my cats seem happy and healthy which makes me a happy cat mom! My younger Maine Coon's coat is naturally a bit greasy and used to mat up really bad, but that has improved somewhat, too. She also had flakiness on her spine near her tail, and that's gotten much better. All in all, this may seem like a lot of money for cat food, but I'll gladly pay it for the real improvements I've seen in both of my cats! ... show more

  • This is the only dry cat food my picky cats like
Size: 2.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have two cats, a nine year old male mixed tabby and a 1 1/2 year female mixed tabby. I believe in buying good food because I hope in the long run it extends the life of my beloved pets. I have my cats on a mixture of dry food and wet cat food (broths) to keep them hydrated. I have tried Blue Buffalo Wilderness, Rachel Ray, Science Diet, The Honest Kitchen Whole Food Clusters, Forza10 Active Kidney Renal Cat Food for Adult Cats, Purina Pro Plan, etc. but both cats barely touch the dry food so in the end I throw it out or give it away. That is until I tried Royal Canin Indoor 7+ . Both cats love it and after three months have not tired of it. If they like it then I am a happy camper. ... show more

  • Good senior food, easy for them to eat, solved vomiting!
Size: 5.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
My cats are now 9 years old. The last year or so, they've been vomiting fairly frequently after eating breakfast kibble. Their former diet was Royal Canin Sensitive Diet and Indoor Diet, both great foods before they became "seniors". I also noticed they were having some difficulty chewing the regular indoor kibble (larger and harder pieces). I switched them to this "senior" food, and they no longer vomit and it's easier for them to eat (smaller pieces and easier for them to chew the pieces). They both took to the new food instantly (mixed 1/2 old and new, then gradually phased out the old food). I still supplement their diet with wet food and boiled chicken (food-processed into a crumb-like consistency). So far so good! ... show more

  • Solved litterbox avoidance problem in my 16 year old cat
Size: 5.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
I love this food. My 16 year old cat used to stool outside of her litterbox somewhat frequently. In any given week she'd go on the floor at least once. If I upset her by leaving town, she'd do it as many as 3 or 4 days in a row during and after my absence. Thanks to Royal Canin Indoor Mature dry food, it doesn't happen any more. I had adopted my cat when I was 9 years old, and she lived in my parents' house until I graduated from college. They dealt with her litterbox issues for 15 years, and we always assumed that her problems were behavioral and that we'd just have to deal with them. However, when I brought her to live with me, I soon realized how much of a nuisance cleaning up all that poop could be. Not to mention how embarrassing it was when my roommate found her messes. I did extensive research on litterbox avoidance, and realized that my poor kitty was showing the classic signs of litterbox avoidance because of pain. Her stools were very dry and she didn't seem to have any regular schedule when she went. I worried about constipation, and immediately decided to transition her to a healthier food. I gradually switched her from IAMS to the Royal Canin Adult Indoor food. As her food transitioned, so did her behavior. Her litterbox misses became much more infrequent, and her stool consistency became more normal. She began to poop almost every day, as opposed to every 2 or 3 days. She even buries about 50% of her stools now. She had never buried them before. The real test came during the past couple weeks. I've been traveling a lot, and away for the past 2 weekends. Ordinarily the stress of me being gone and dealing with a cat sitter would make my cat consistently avoid the box. Instead, she faithfully went in the box every day before, during, and after my weekend trips. Currently she's at about 1 part IAMS to 6 parts Royal Canin. Can't wait till she's off the IAMS completely! One thing to note- it's very important to transition foods slowly. I stupidly tried to switch her from IAMS directly to Royal Canin and she had diarrhea for a couple of days because of it. Once I started transitioning her gradually the diarrhea went away. ... show more
