I started building this little shop one day while it was raining out and I had sick kiddos home from school. It was a great way to pass some time. I love that everything is very organized and the instructions are very easy to follow. I am not a novice when it comes to building miniatures but I imagine if I were, this kit would be a great starting point to learn on. The kit comes with everything you need, however I would recommend using modge podge for the paper flooring and the wallpaper as the glue that is included will cause buckling and will be difficult to work with to get a smooth finish. Also I recommend the use of blue painters tape to tape the structure together as the glue dries. This will help kept the walls together so there's no gaping. I love the attention to detail and I truly enjoyed building this. It was a stress free little project that my daughters have also enjoyed looking at. I highly recommend this kit. ... show more

This is a puzzler's DREAM. I can't even begin to tell you how entertaining this kit is. I spent sooo many hours working on this. The instructions are pretty good, with a bit of confusion here and there, but overall really well done. It takes a minute to get a hang of how it works, but after you figure it out, it was smooth sailing. They give you plenty of glue, so don't be afraid to use it. The details on this thing are truly wild. They have everything from posters to hooks to feathers and don't get me started on the electrical work. You do need a couple of extra tools (pliers, scissors, etc.) that are not included in the kit, but you likely already have. I LOVE THIS and it's worth every penny. ... show more

This was a fun build. For these kinds of kits, it is more on the crafty side, not like a wooden puzzle that just snaps together. There are several little beads, glass containers, paper parts, etc. The theme is cute and there are several clever details. On the other hand, the lighting is very basic. There is only one LED (as the instructions call it a "light bead") and none of the wiring is preconnected. The kit does come with heat shrink tubing, but you are just supposed to twist the wires together and hope the connection is good. I opted to solder the connections to be sure. The instructions are generally good but there is not an inventory of parts. This would be helpful to distinguish between several similar components. Finally, I am not really taken with some of the larger plastic parts (picture frame, book, star). These seem out of scale and detract from the crafty aesthetic of the kit. I had wanted this kit so badly because it reminded me so much of wizards and witches for Halloween! And it seems I had got my wish and building this kit is exactly how I spent my Halloween. I always mention in my reviews to go slowly when constructing the kit since it is easy to break the pieces when too much pressure is applied. ... show more

I love these DIY doll houses. This one was a bit easier to assemble as there aren't as many paper sheets to cut and glue. it's great as a hobby, keeps me busy and the kids like to help as well.
