I picked up a 4-pack of these for Thanksgiving, and they worked well. The price was right, and the value was excellent. They also hold a ton of food. I was able to get an entire deep dish pan of macaroni in a single unit. I bought these and the ones with glass lids but preferred these for fear of the glass fogging up. They were mostly assembled; I just had to attach the lids. The fuel cups were a bit small for the burners I purchased from Sam’s Club, so I didn’t use them. Again, excellent quality, and I would highly recommend them.

I ordered two sets of these for a beach birthday lunch party, a 4.5 qt with a glass top and this one because it was roughly the same price for two 5 qt chafers, knowing I’d likely return the one that didn’t come in time. If this one had come earlier in the day, I would have definitely kept it. After the event, I opened the box of this one to compare items between the two sets for our next party planning… Its value and quality seemed to be similar to the glass top one, with the exception that the 2 gel fuel holders in this one had tops that were a little more loose fitting and the container top holders (that attach to the side of the containers) were shorter. These items would not have been deal breakers, though. I liked how the tops of these looked as though they would do a better job of keeping the food warm. The edges of the tops are more formed to top and side edges of the food containers. Although, there are some advantages to having a glass top; there’s one less reason to prepare table tents for guests to know each chafer’s contents are. All in all, I’d easily add this set to my next entertaining needs for our next outdoor party. I only gave it a 4 out of 5 because I hadn’t actually used this product.

I like to entertain and I like to do charcuterie displays. These two chafing dishes are perfect for displaying hot items. They are very well-made and the right size to serve a medium size group. I usually put my meatballs in one and dumplings in the other. I was using a disposable type chafing in these are so much nicer. After my event, they are very easy to clean and put away for the next event.
