  • Great product!
My hat goes off to the folks at Rough Country! This was the best after market product I have ever installed! The fit was perfect, and the ease of installation was amazing! Cannot wait to stuck, and try it out! Everything about this product was quality, even the way it was packed when it arrived! The winch bolted on perfectly, and I was especially impressed how all the bolt holes lined up perfectly from the winch mount to the tow hook bolt holes! Thank you Rough Country for your superb craftsmanship! I am a very pleased customer, and would with a doubt recommend this product to the masses! ... show more

  • perfect fit
The media could not be loaded. the the bracket mates perfectly to the two factory bolt holes and frame. however, the flag nuts they weldedup are junk. I took them to industrial supply and the nuts did not fit any standard. ie their out of spec and won't thread onto any bolt cuz bad welding. the welds on the bracket itself appear ran hot but well formed. all the bracket parts are keyed into each other which fit well. my warn vs evo 12s was a snug fit and had to remove and relocate contactor box but it is a big 12,000lbs winch demensionally. the bracket is heavy and had to use 4x4" blocking to locate and bolt in place. I recomend trashing the included bolts and buying quality grade ten galvanized bolts, split washer, regular washer, nylock nut. use bailing wire to make your own flag nuts and a cheap wrench bent thru access hole/bolt to tighten. they have improved finish and doesn't seem to flake off easy. your gonna probly use a half inch drill bit instead of their recommended size predrill 1/4" bit will make jib easier but its still a pita without a magdrill :/ four holes took an hourish cuz arm rest breaks. spooling up 100' of synthetic rope crosswound started rubbing on the last 10' but sounds about normal. it clearly leaves room for other attachments. I could probly add recovery points where bolts to frame. the fairlead sticks way out. its all 1/4" plate construction. import 10" cheap fairleads fit. will update later. ... show more

  • It DOES work with SUV models!
Installation on my 2002 GMC Yukon XL 1500 4x4 with just a torsion bar lift took about 5 hours total. Yes, it does fit the SUV models with no issues, don't know why Rough Country's website and Amazon say it doesn't. Installed with a 13,000lb SpeedMaster winch, the longest part of the install was figuring out the wiring on the winch. Pretty straightforward otherwise, it was my first time messing with a winch at all. Anyone who's got the tools for it should be able to do it. I couldn't find a 15/32" drill bit as the instructions specified for the 4 bolt holes, but I had a 7/16" bit and it worked just fine. Also, I ran the extension cord for the controller to the gap in the "C" in the GMC logo instead of going under the hood, thought it looked cool and will be more convenient. Really the only thing I don't like is how the paint comes off on the mount so easily and in such large flakes, even before I had anything mounted to it or test fit it on the truck. Hard to believe it is powder coated, the paint job is more akin to a rattle-can job done without primer. This is definitely a function over form piece though. And though I can't hold it against RC, it would be cool if there was a small skid plate available to buy or included that bolted up to the stock front plate position. There's a nice big gap with some fragile stock components and the control box for the winch that's exposed now. It's pretty much level from the 2 rear bolt holes in the crossmember to the winch mount itself that I'll probably make something up sooner or later, but it seems like a slight oversight. ... show more

  • Perfect fit for my GMC
It was quite easy to install on my GMC 2003 Yukon XL. I had to however, create a custom plate to retrofit my Badlands 5000 pounds of pull winch, as this bracket has been designed for bigger winches (probably 12k or higher). Never less it fits nicely behind the bumper and is virtually invisible except for the guide rollers. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Fits Tahoe perfect
I installed this on my 2004 Cheverlet Tahoe even though Rough Country says it won't fit. It fit perfect with no modifications needed and I installed a 12k Badlands winch with no issues. Great mount for the price.

  • Do not buy this if you have a 2007 chevy 2500HD classic
I bought this after reading a few reviews stating this will fit a 2500HD classic and I came to find out that it will not. The bolt holes and mounting configuration are completely different and the width is too short. This was nobody's fault but my own and now I have learned from my mistake. Fab Four dosn't make a Hidden winch mount for my truck so I am replacing the full bumper. ... show more
