This smallish cooler is an excellent addition to my outdoor leisure equipment. It's well-made and the rubber latches hold securely (though are a bit difficult to pull at first). The padded handle makes it easy to lift. It did a great job keeping my food cold. It did not keep ice for the stated 5-7 days but did keep ice for 3 days in 70 degrees, which is way better than my old Coleman cooler.     • Not as advertised
The advertising of this cooler says it is a 5 to 7 day ice retention cooler. That is false. I loaded the cooler to about 50% with beverages that were already ice cold and then filled the cooler up with ice. The next morning before I left on my trip I drained the cooler and refilled the ice. 1 1/2 days later after my trip I opened the cooler and 3/4 of the ice had melted. There was more than enough ice to keep things cold, and the cooler was not in the direct sunlight. I would say this is a 2 to 3 day cooler at best and nothing more. I also had a larger cooler ( different brand) with me that retained ice 4 days without any difficulty. Both coolers were in the bed of my truck with a topper on it, keeping sunlight off of them. I would think in early April without direct sunlight on the coolers they should last at least 1/2 as long as the advertising says they should. The other problem with this cooler is that the metal handle easily pops off if bumped. There’s nothing really securing it to the cooler itself. Looks like just what I wanted but wife is not happy with large dent right out of the box. I don’t think the dent goes through but looks rough to start with. A couple orders ago my guitar came with a broken neck so I am curious how these packages are being handled. Will have to think about returning it before I use it ... show more
