    • If you like some sappy love stories, you might like this.
Of the three seasons, the first is probably the best, although I do like the second season's Christmas episode. Pro's: An alien and a human girl fall in love when the alien/hybrid saves her life (no spoilers here the event takes place literally in the first minutes of the first episode, and the love story is foreseeable). Cons: Some of the characters really do make some stupid mistakes, the sheriff being one of them, but also some of the characters in some of the episodes. The alien politics, and distant love interest by the enemy alien, rubs me the wrong way, but ultimately that good parts of the storyline over-rides the bad parts. Its flaws stop me from giving a full 5 stars, but it is still a good over all story that they have time to close out by the end. They don't leave you hanging like some series' that have an abrupt end. ... show more

    • I love this show but the music...
I absolutely love this show. I originally watched it when it first aired and I have to say I regret waiting so long to buy the DVDs. In my opinion, this show holds up after all this time to the point where some scenes are so memorable that when the music differs it's incredibly noticeable, and that's my only complaint about these DVDs. Not all of the music is the same as what was originally used when it first aired. If you want to know some of the original music used, just check the IMDB page for each episode, because far as I can tell those lists are from the original airings and are what I remember. I'm not sure why the rights for a lot of the music couldn't be obtained for these DVDs but it does make a difference for those that watched Roswell from the very beginning. So, other than that, or if music doesn't mean that much to you when you watch shows, I still highly recommend this show. It's a story that stays with you and is always worth a re-watch. ... show more

    • Unappreciated in its time.
Jason Katims, who has since gone on to more fame with the critically acclaimed Friday Night Lights really began his climb (in my humble opinion) with this well-made and clever tale of the alien babies who crashed in Roswell in 1947 before growing up as teenagers in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This show was cancelled at least three or four times before its final cancellation, before fan campaigns brought it back (the famous Tabasco Hot Sauce campaigns) and the constant shifts in focus, style and format demonstrate the many attempts to grab, well not an audience which it had, but the attention and support of the studio Execs who kept cancelling it. This show launched Katherine Heigl's career though she pretends this show never happened and several other familiar faces made appearances over the years. This show is a very entertaining show, if not a masterpiece, and the contours of storyline and format give a great sense of how challenging it must be to work in television, to structure and conceive an entertaining show. Katims found his footing with this show and demonstrated a clear eye for talent with his casting choices as he has continued to do with Friday Night Lights. This is a great addition to any individual who misses the old WB network and the teen-oriented shows it gave us. ... show more

    • A Magnificent Show
I first watch this show Roswell when it first came out in 1999. It lasted for three seasons. Since then I watched it on Dvds from Netflix at least three times over the next few years. Several years ago I saw that Amazon had it for nearly $40.00 and I thought I would wait until the price came down to buy it. It never did so in 2019 I purchased this series of Roswell and now I can watch it anytime I want to. I no longer subscribe to the Dvd program at Netflix, but went to live streaming where this series of Roswell is not free to watch. ... show more

Absolutely love this TV series Roswell I always wanted it and then finally found it they arrived within a week's time they were all there no disc were missing none were sliding around in the case and none were damaged very good quality so glad I bought them thank you so much I love love love love love this series :) :) ... show more

I loved this series while it aired on TV 📺. Glad to purchase it so I can watch it again at my leisure. Wish it was still being produced and creating new episodes. It is a plot driven series that moves events forward as the show progresses. Well acted character driven program. Highly recommended. If for nothing else, this show is worth watching just for the young babes!! Shiri Appleby, Majandra Delfino, Katherine Heigl and Julie Benz! Almost as good as the babe-o-rama in Dawson's Creek, but a much better show!

This was a fun series to go through - I think young teenagers would like it - Kinda Melrose Place with aliens but not as stupid and stuck up as Melrose - fun series for teens !!
