I use this press about once or twice a week i have had one issue and that was the shaft on the manual press. a piece of debris got stuck between the shaft wall and shaft itself i had to remove clean and sand the away the blemishes on the shaft and shaft wall but other than that its worth the money. i let my press warm up the product for 2 minutes instead of 30 seconds and when i press make sure you back of and tighten and then press again do that about 4 maybe time until you turned and pressed as much as possible then let it cook for about 4 minutes instead of a 1:30 i found this method to work for me not saying it will work for all. temp is 187 ... show more

I originally went cheap on my first press and paid for it after 4 months of ownership. I wish i had started with this press. It is all aluminum so it is extremely sturdy and has an extra long handle to get really good presses. For me to get the pressure where I want it, I have to use a breaker bar tube(24"). I have been doing this since ownership and do not see any damage or signs of over-usage like I did with another brand's product. Just keep it oiled and you shouldn't have any issues. Once this one goes I will definitely be buying from Rositek again. Just a note - if you are using this every day, multiple times a day like I do, I'd recommend upgrading to a hydraulic style press over this pressure/lock system as it can be painful on the hands over time. ... show more

I rarely rate products, but in this case, the thing works better than advertised, and the build quality is nuts. Bamboo finish on the press and everything. For this price, it would be silly not to buy this. This is the best thing out there

The press does work very well, and provides a decent yield of quality rosin. however I had a few issues, these issues are more of an inconvenience rather then a problem. 1. The press is very hard to use on a desk, and there is no screw holes / mounting option. which makes this hard to use the lever at almost any pressure. 2. The settings interface was a little confusing. 3. It took awhile for it to get the correct temperature, it would sometimes even get too hot 4. When I did get the rosin made, I was a little too faded lol ... show more

Very simple and easy to use, you want a nice moist pruduct to put in and I only use a small amount approx 1gram and let gravity and heat do their thing for 30 seconds, then I clamp it down for 2 minutes, gather and enjoy the squish. All of the entourage effect, totally different than what you can pick up ... show more

Works and looks awesome. Just a suggestion would be to have a foot plate on rear of jack, seems to want to flip forward under heavy strain. Over all I would buy it again.

    • 8 tom jack easy use, leaking metal shavings after 20 presses in a day, then seals broke in a week?.

It was easy temp control and easy to use jack, but the quality od the jack was the weak point, it leaked metal shavings and then broke the seal after 100ish presses... that's about 3 days of use... so it worked great for the first few items, then started to leak during a press, really annoying. Hope they upgrade the jack or install your own from the auto shop? In my opinion is was a good press for small art 🎨 projects, brearings... little stuff, is it really an 8 ton jack? not for anyone wishing to use it more that 30 times a week. ... show more
