The design was different for this kit which I liked a lot. Nice detail and variety in supplies. A couple of the lights go inside the transparent paper of the books, without any particular place to glue them. One of mine came loose when I was finishing wiring - not a huge deal but hard to get back in place once the transparent paper and wood edges have been placed. So glue these very well. There is a misspelling on the large sign for the light green building with "lcuk" instead of luck. I just glued a piece of colored paper over it instead of the sign and the next door building covers it on the other side. Lights are pre-wired which is nice, although requires an extension for the wires underneath the base. A couple of glitches but really enjoyed the finished piece. ... show more

I was drawn to this set because the finished result is different from what I see with most kits. I struggled a bit to put it together, but only because I’m very new to this. The kit itself is lovely and I was able to follow the instructions pretty easily. The finished piece takes up more space than the average kit, but I think it’s worth it. A nice project. ... show more

I swear I love these kits! This is one was a joy to create especially since it looks like an old little corner store! I would definitely recommend getting some crafting glue, a precision tool set, and a precision knife. This kit is very good for beginners for a break-in to DIY. The instructions given were easy to follow! There are a few spelling mistakes, but I didn't mind them and actually found them funny! ... show more
