This is the third Roomba that Iāve owned, and itās hands down my favorite. The fact that it empties itself is such a game changer in terms of maintenance - I can basically ignore it and still have clean floors. Before, I ran my Roomba daily, but that meant I had to empty the dust bin daily. If I forgot, it wouldnāt run until I got caught up, which meant it was easy to miss a day and then have the mess get out of hand, thereby needing to run more than once to catch up and thus needing to be emptied repeatedly. It may sound silly, but it became a significant friction point. This model fixes all that. I have it set up to run when I leave the house. Since it runs while Iām gone then returns to its base and empties itself automatically, I never see or hear it at work and do next to no maintenance aside from periodically checking to ensure the rollers are clear of hair and such. Two months in, and itās still filling the same main vacuum bag. The convenience of not having to empty the dust bin daily far outweighs the hassle of having to buy and replace the large vacuum bags for the base. Love this little robot!

I didn't love setting this thing up and vacuuming right out of the box - there was some frustration with its behavior BUT the online documentation is very good., Definitely take the time to do a mapping run - the machine runs faster and does a better job cleaning. I do like that it will return to base and empty itself when it gets full. It does my main living area in about an hour - roughly 400 sq ft. I think the key to a happy relationship is to vacuum every day or every other day - yes you can schedule it automatically but at least at my house I need to spend 5-10 minutes picking up shoes, cat toys, odd bit of mail- before it runs. It doesn't gracefully handle the odd kleenex for example. The one thing that drives me crazy is it feels like it spends a lot of time vacuuming under the credenza and not enough time on the area rug. I barely even care about under the credenza and I can't imagine it gets that dirty but I would love the area rug, taking up the biggest space in the living room would get extra attention

The machine working exactly as expected. The self cleaning garbage is a plus. The only concern is the noise when is self cleaning.
