Bottom line: If the primary focus is low price, there are lower priced alternatives available on Amazon. If high accuracy is the primary focus, there are more precise alternatives available on Amazon. My main issues with this level are: It doesn't feel particularly robust or high quality. Construction is primarily plastic other than the metal inserts at the top and the bottom. The fit and finish aren’t great, especially where the metal pieces are inserted at the top and the bottom - there are visible gaps. The top and the bottom of the level are not perfectly parallel - if you hold the side with the notch in it against a vertical wall and then flip it over to hold the side with the magnet on it, you get slightly different readings. On the plus side... Easy to read. The level is in fact 9 inches long as advertised. It has vials to indicate horizontal, vertical, and 45°. The level has a magnetic strip on one side of it. Magnet strength is OK, not horrible, but not great. Horizontal can be read from directly above due to a cut out in the top surface of the level. Top surface of the level is beveled to allow it to lay on a pipe or other curved surface. Level weighs 2.8 ounces. These little torpedo levels are handy to carry in a tool bag and I have a few already. I like the fact that this level is bright (so it's easy to see) and it's also easy to read. Unfortunately, it's lightweight and feels cheaply made. My biggest complaint however is that one edge is not actually level. Held against my heavyweight level, there is a clear bow in the torpedo level and it rocks when placed on a dead-flat granite counter. I marked the bad edge with a Sharpie and can still use the other edge which is actually level. Since it's cheaply made and fails to perform as intended, at least on one side, I can't give it more than 2 stars. ... show more

I just put up a drop ceiling in my basement and this little level was a life safer. It's small and easy to maneuver in tight places. It's light weight so it does not weight down the piece it's attached to. And it held up well after falling on the hard tile floor a number of times. My one complaint is that the bubble is a little hard to read in low light. Apart from that, I'm very happy with the level and my new drop ceiling. ... show more

This is a very handy little level that can be easily stored on anything metal (I keep it on the side of the fridge) and is the perfect size for hanging pictures or making sure something similarly small is level. I like this better than using my phone as a level and like the size compared to a full-sized level when you’re trying to level something relatively small. Very useful. ... show more
