I didn’t have a nine inch level so I acquired this one. At the time of the review it was 6.99 shipped which for that price it’s a nice level but if you want a fancier heavy duty one you should look elsewhere. This does exactly what it's intended to do. It's nice and light and easily workable with one hand. I docked a star off though because the magnet isn't really as strong as I wanted it to be. Other than that though this device is the perfect addition to anyone's toolbox.

This level is accurate (I checked the spirit level glasses against my Stanley levels and a Swanson Speed Square), and the level glasses are mounted in the level frame for precise measurement. One side of the level has a V-notch running the length of the metal edge, which is convenient for leveling pipes. The other metal edge is flat. The only criticism I have, and it's rather minor, is that the bubbles should be slightly larger. My other levels have bubbles that are larger, so judging their centering between the lines is easy. This level's bubbles are small and don't fit nicely between the lines. It takes a little more fiddling to judge the centering of these smaller bubbles. ... show more

Of course, no level should ever be dropped but if I ever did accidentally drop this level, it is so well made that I wouldn't worry about it being damaged. Obviously the magnetic function doesn't help when working on metal but it still would be a good addition to any sheet metal mechanics tool box! ... show more
