I am impressed with this simple level tool. I tied a string real tight from one side to the other of my 24' pool wall and hung this bubble line level in the center, to level the pool. It was easy to use. My pool was only approximately one inch off after filling it with water. The accuracy isn't perfect for long stretches but close. I found that the trick is to make sure the string is taught from point A to point B.

This is a good set of 8 levels, just not quite as good as the metal ones. Still, for the price and the convenience of having 8 levels, this is a good value. Little line levels are always misplaced or lost, so having 8 really makes up for the shortcomings compared to the aluminum ones. These plastic ones are lighter, so they don't slide and track as well on a string, but it is a small shortcoming compared to not having one at all. These plastic line levels are as good as any plastic ones I have used. With a set of 8, I was able to compare them and they all produced the same results. That is pretty good quality control.

The Reason for Selection: These simple devices are always handy to have around for various projects. One of my uses will be to help with hanging a camping hammock at comfortable angle. I like the foot end to be about a foot above the head end. That works out to 4-7 degrees. Perfect for this device since a 5 degree incline has the bubble just touching the outer rim of the tube. General observations: The devices are light weight and the frame is of good quality ABS type plastic. Hang this device on cordage that is 3mm (1/8") or smaller. If the 3mm line is very taught, you will have difficulty with putting the device on the line. I spot checked the bubble levels with the level app on a phone. I know it's not a NIST traceable measurement device, but it is what I have. All copies of the product had the bubble inside the lines with the phone test. I lined all the copies up on a table to see how they compared to each other. They are all in the "good enough" realm as far as I am concerned but there is diversity in the indicators. I took one level apart to test how well the bubble tube is attached to the frame. It is bonded on one side, the entire circumference of the tube. It is also bonded heavily on one side of the tube to the frame. The Good: The tube that has the spirit liquid is secure in the plastic frame. If the level is dropped, this will maintain the level to remain oriented to the plumb line of the plastic frame. The Bad: Nothing Bad. The Ugly: Nothing Ugly. Value for Price: From my perspective and experience, the price is fair.

These levelers work great. The orange color really makes them able to be found easily in your tool shed. The bubble is of good size and the windows are clear. Would recommend.
