  • Good, but could have been much better.
Color: Black
*Edit. About six weeks later, and my opinions are still about the same. I do like the bag, but they were *so close* to getting it right. As it stands, I'm happy to use it, but I'm also still on the hunt for something with better organizational options. But, it has certainly proved sturdy, and I still like the horizontal opening aspect of it.* I've kind of developed a love/hate relationship with this bag. My previous gear bag was a backpack by 'Ogi(o)', but it got into an accident by no fault of its own (driver accidentally ran over it at a gig, lol.) It had done its service and held up well, and I had been on the hunt for a solid replacement. And, while I certainly don't abuse my stuff, whatever it was going to be needs to be able to handle getting knocked around, and having solid, heavy objects inside. To that regard, I think this bag is a winner. It seems well-constructed, and I have no complaints so far. And, I was pleasantly surprised at how I actually like opening it horizontally. The amount) degree of opening can be somewhat adjusted with velcro attachment spots that will keep it opening more like a regular bag, but honestly I knew that wouldn't last, so I immediately just detached the velcro. But... the storage space is actually lacking. To me, the front pockets are almost useless. You really can't fit much in there. If they would have given them like 1/2" more depth, it would have been totally different and very helpful. Or, like another reviewer said, they could have made two larger pockets. As it is, seriously, they just don't provide adequate space, to me. If you look in my pic, a lot of that stuff I had previously been able to organize better, and put into different areas of a bag. Like, there are a couple of bandanas, and I can't even squeeze them in anywhere else. As for the wheels and handles, they work just fine. But, again back to the storage, I hardly even see them as necessary. It's just really not that big, and doesn't hold enough, so I hardly see where it would ever really *need* wheels for the average user. I'm not complaining about them being there, not at all, but I just can hardly ever see needing them, because you almost can't put enough normal stuff in this thing to make it very heavy. I do disagree with another reviewer about using it on your back. I like how this bag is stiffer and kind of stays close. In the interim, I had been using an old Jans(port), and while it actually provided *much* more storage and better organizational options, it also carried all of the weight at the bottom, pulled away from you, and basically felt like you had a sack of potatoes on your back trying to escape.. Just as an fyi, if you look at this company's seller page, they have another bag that appears to be very similar, and has more reviews already built up. Some of them echo some of my sentiments. Anyway... Would I recommend this? Yea, probably, as long as you clearly understand that you're mostly getting a suitcase style compartment on wheels. To me, it's mostly 'tactical' because of how it looks, not because of how it functions. Would I personally get it again? Prob not. I feel like for the same price I could prob find something with better storage options. ... show more

  • Good Personal Item Air Travel Bag
Color: Black
Looks great and seems like good build quality for the money. It’s definitely small, but if you bought it to be a personal item bag for air travel (like I did), you’ll be happy.

  • So far, it's ok
Color: Black
I'm a Paramedic. I require a bag that can handle my gear and snacks. This seemed to have fit the bill. It is a little small for what I need however it holds a decent amount of items. The biggest problem with it is that it tilts over. It's rather annoying as well. I either have to lean it against a wall or lay it flat. ... show more

  • Really good roller bag, so-so backpack
Color: Black
How much you like this backpack (and any backpack I suppose) is going to be dependent on your use case. In general, this is primarily a roller bag, that also has shoulder straps for occasional use as a backpack. It's not terrible on your back, but it's not great either. There's no chest strap or waist belt and the back pad is super flat and not all that padded. As a roller bag, it's much better. The bag is light-weight but seems quite sturdy and well-constructed. I like the finishing and materials quite a bit. The design is such that the bag will stand on it's end and self-support, which makes it really handy for deskside briefcase-type access. I love that the laptop pocket is in the outer flap instead of being buried up against the back underneath all the contents. Super handy for TSA screenings. This arrangement can cause the bag to tip over when the zipper is left open with a laptop in it and there's not much in the main compartment however - a mild annoyance. I'd say the biggest miss on this bag - and one that others have observed - is the size of the outer zipper pouch pockets. They're just too darned small, especially the top two of the three. The design would have been much more useful if they'd just gone for 2 pockets instead of 3. Probably a marketing decision, but seriously how many pencils are you going to carry? Because that's about all you can do with the upper 2 pockets. So -1 star for that. Otherwise I really like this bag. ... show more
