This is probably one of the nicest tools I bought on Amazon this year. It's very rugged and well made and rolls very easily and does what it's supposed to do. I was very impressed with the weight of it and how well it handled. I would recommend this.

Note that I've only owned this aerator for one month and have used it three times. This device works well. Small wheels allow you to move the device to the lawn easily. The aerator rolls easily on my (flat) lawn without my adding additional sand or pebble weight (which can be added using the aperture on the drum). The knives make a 2" deep cut into the lawn, and penetrate fully. I run the aerator in multiple directions to ensure sufficient aeration. Easy to assemble, and quality appears solid. This is as easy to use as a lawn mower, and can be pushed or pulled (easier to pull).

Now this thing works like a charm. My old one very labor intensive, this one either push or pull. It corners very easy which is HUGE plus around my flower beds and trees. Don’t lose the opening key for adding water though😝

It's only "ok" for clay but for grass it works well with the sand in it. For the clay I have to rock it back and forth to get it to penetrate the clay. I would recommend for soft ground with a lot of grass. It is built well and very easy to put together.

Works great. Cuts in deeply on soft lawns, even without filling with sand for weight. Easy to push and pull. Can be filled with sand for dryer, firmer lawns.

Works really good. Works even better if you put 60lb on top to help it dig into the dirt. Works best when areas are wet (not soaked)

Solid and well built, this thing, when filled with sand, is a home gym disguised as a lawn aerator! I waited for a rain to soak the ground and loosen up the clay soil that we have here in NC, then I filled the drum with a bag of play sand (probably close to 25 lbs) and started off. The aerator did a good job punching slits into the soil and was easy to roll. Turning wasn't too bad, but stopping and starting was a killer! Once rolling, it was easy to maintain the momentum, but after 20 minutes of pushing, I needed a 5-minute breather! If you are looking for a solid aerator that does what it is advertised to do, and gives you a great workout as a bonus, this is your pick!
