Seem to be built real well but when filled with dirt it’s not effortless to push or pull as stated . Now I’ll have to admit I’m 73 years old and I’m sure that has a lot to do with it . It also hard to tell when your in grass how much good it’s doing but I did notice better water penetration.

My back yard sees a lot of traffic so the grass is struggling and i have tons of dandelions invading. Pretty easy to setup and fill with sand. I've done my entire back yard and ill have to wait to see if the grass will start to thrive once again.

Super easy to put together, they even give you the tools love the way it spiked the grass really easy to roll and maneuver. If you want more weight, you can add Sand to the barrel a nice touch love this tool will be using it every year definitely worth the money.

After we purchased our home we noticed the grass wasn't as healthy as it could have been and we got started trying to make it thick and lushess. We were trying so many ways and products to get it going but nothing was working- enter this Heavy Duty rolling lawn aerator! We have a small- medium lawn and this aerator worked PERFECTLY for the size. I would think this aerator probably would work best on lawns small- medium/medium large. This thing is a tank! Such a solid build and not only is is solid it was very easy to assemble. It took us 10 minutes from start to finish. The main body comes already assembled so all you need to do is attach the handle with 3 bolts and wahla- you are done! We put a hefty load of dirt in the drum to give it a lot of weight- you don't have to put as much as we did it is all based on your preference. The aerator weighs 32 pounds all by itself but obviously the more dirt you pile in there the more penetration you get. As soon as we started rolling this bad boy we could tell it was not only going to work but it was going to allow for the water to absorb better and our grass feed to go where it needs to go for healthier grass. The pattern of the spikes is in a spiral- which I noticed (at least from other aerators I have had in the past) this tread pattern makes it a lot easier to push and control the direction, especially when it is weighed down with dirt. Once we were done with the aerator we just took a garden hose and washed it off then dried it the best we could so it woudn't rust It stands up all by itself and didn't take up a whole bunch of room in the garage (the HOA doesn't allow for sheds 👎🏼). So it was important that this would store easily and not take up a lot of room. I am very happy with this lawn aerator and the job it does!

This is a work horse of a lawn tool. I have a yard that was built up about 15 years ago with a mix of sand clay and soil. Since then, most of the sand has washed away leaving low spots and mounds all over the yard. This aerator works great poking air into any area of the yard simply pushing/pulling it around. I have found that after rain, it is much more effective when then soils are softer. Areas that I have used the aerator on have started greening up immediately; however, I've not seen much progress in leveling the yard/ The tool wights about 33 ;bs which can be increased to around 50 by adding sand to the roller. I plan on trying this soon. Super happy with this tool. While i got it mainly to levelup the yard, , the great response i've gotten from the grass has me looking into how often I should aerate my yard.

This aerator seems to be ok. Average. I used it once around the yard pretty quickly without any sand in it, and it didn't seem to enter the soil that well. I added sand and it did better, but not great. One of the prongs bent quickly, and the bolt for the handle doesn't tighten enough to keep it stiff.

This is a pretty good lawn aerator. Very heavy out of the box before you add sand to the drum. I have my lawn aerated and over seeded most every year by the company that does our weed spaying and fertilizing, but some times I get dead patches or areas where it is thin and I like to touch it up myself with some extra seed. This works great for those areas before putting seed down. Not too many parts to put together and for the quality the price seems reasonable.
