Out of the box, these skates are great outside and even better at the local roller rink. One thing I will mention is that since the size is adjustable, the boot liners are in 2 pieces, and the cushions start to get uncomfortable on the inner part of your foot. I got these for my son who had been going to the local rink and was renting in-lines. He has been using these for almost a year and they still work perfectly. They are comfortable enough for him to wear the 3-4 hours he’s at the rink. He wasn’t a beginner and I can’t rollerblade so I have no idea how well these would work for beginners but they have worked great for him. He usually wins all the speed races (not professional, just a local rink bragging rights race) They look cool, they are adjustable and easy for him to use. He has looked into changing the wheels for the light up ones and different sizes but hasn’t decided to as of yet. ... show more

For the price, these roller skates are functional and definitely a decent option for beginners. I wear a US women’s size 7 and they fit me well. I originally bought them just to skate for fun every now and then, and for that, they work fine. But as I started skating more frequently, I began to notice some quality issues. The bottoms of the boots are starting to come apart from the frame, which causes a chronic clicking sound every time I lift my foot—not ideal. The brake works okay on flat ground, but it’s pretty ineffective on even slight inclines. I also noticed pieces of plastic chipping off the brake as I used it, which doesn’t give me much confidence in its durability. Overall, these skates are a good entry-level option if you're just testing the waters and want something affordable. But if you plan to skate often or are progressing to a more intermediate level, I’d recommend investing in a higher-quality pair. ... show more
