Used by a 5 yr old. Used the 3 wheel setup only a few times because it actually inhibits proper striding. Switching to inline setup is easy. Also easy is the sizing adjustment, though it's presently being used at its smallest setting. The wheels have a lot of friction, which for a beginner is ok in some ways, so that one never gets much speed, but on the other hand, not being able to glide much isn't great. Gift for granddaughter on Easter. Skates are amazing now but when unpacked a bearing in the skate wheel was not set properly. Unable to be used. Luckily my husband was able to reset the bearing. These are perfect for beginners. Bought these for my daughter for her 6th birthday. We kept the two wheels in the back. They are very pretty, strong and stable. Great for beginners. My daughter is 7 and they are her first roller skates. She learned to use them in a couple of days because they are stable and don’t slide too fast.
