He loves the lighting that (some houses) have and there are certain levels you can choose from. The detail of each piece in the end result is real to life. This is a super cute chocolate shop and easy to put together. I personally don’t like the tape strips. I recommend gluing everything. Regular craft glue but I use super glue for plastic things. It holds better. I did knock it down a star because I am so overly annoyed by this random white wall. Why is there no design on either side? The other walls are yellow or pink with stone detailing. This wall is just solid white. It looks so stupid and out of place of either side.

I had just got done with Rolife’s Ice Cream Pallor Super Creator, so I had to try out the chocolate shop next! I loved all the little chocolate designs and I am noticing improvements with Rolife kits with the newer designs. Now I am still a bit peeved about the excluding of glue since I think that is a basic need for any beginner. But that does not detract from this build! The pieces all slot together with easy and without too much filing down. Although I recommend having glue on hand in case of breaks. The details are adorable and the quality is typical of Rolife’s kits, which is a very sturdy and solid piece. This kit is just as fun as the other kits and this hobby is addicting!

I have built quite a few of these Rolife miniature structures and have found them to be relaxing. They are appropriate for those aged 14 and older. The electrifying portion can be challenging for youngsters and definitely needs adult supervision. They used to include glue and batteries, but not anymore. Double-sided tape is included, but from my past experience, glue is much easier. Any Elmer’s or Aleene’s glue would work. The pieces are laser-cut and very easy to punch out. Always punch out pieces away from you. Unlike in the way older kits, all pieces are already painted and the paper pieces are already cut out for you. I started on the first step (a shelf) and already encountered a problem. As seen in my photo, the top piece of the shelf cannot be aligned with the side piece. I’m going to have to glue it. For some reason, Rolife decided to imprint the part number on some of the wood pieces. I’m hoping it won’t show at the end. I will update as I go along. My 4-star rating is for the reasons I gave above. Although I think it’s going to be a cute structure, I still think the best one that I have constructed is their “Honey Dessert Talk”. That one is a beautifully designed structure. Addendum: 8/21/25 I am reducing the rating to ONE star. I am at the point of assembling the walls together. They absolutely do not fit together. The notches do not fit at all. I tried sanding, but still the walls fall apart when I try to assemble another wall. This is the LAST Rolife structure I am ever going to build. By Rolife going to “puzzle fitting” instead of gluing, it actually has made it worse to assemble. I do NOT recommend this structure.

I am in love with this set. It was so fun to build! There’s so many tiny details. The little truffles and chocolate bars are so cute. I love that they include a white paint pen to even add flecks on top of the truffles. This is one of those sets that doesn’t involve glue, but that doesn’t make it feel like there’s any less complexity in the build. The pieces are very sturdy. I only had one piece break and it’s one they had a spare of. Everything fit together smoothly. It’s seriously one of my favorites of the rolife sets I’ve done, and I’ve done a lot!
