This item is a fairytale magic shop inside a tree. It comes with all the pieces, sandpaper, double stick tape, a lighting kit, and all other pieces needed to complete the assembly of the design. The set is a combination of wood and plastic with pieces a wide range of colors. Some pieces slide easily into each other; others require some pressure. This is not a kit for children as many of the pieces require patience and a delicate touch to assemble. The pieces may break easily if forced together. I found the double stick tape less than satisfactory. I chose to use glue rather than the tape, as the pieces held together more securely with glue. The light kit makes it easy to see the inside of your completed project. It runs on two AAA batteries that are inserted into the base. I enjoyed assembling the kit, but would ask the creators to provide either a thicker double sided tape or glue in their next design.

Building book nooks and model house kits has become a major hobby for me this year, and seen the full gamut of kit quality at this point. I've had the pleasure of building several Rolife and Robotime kits and knowing how awesome they've been, I was so excited to get this kit! If you love fantasy, elf or goblincore style, you'll love this kit! It is SO adorable. The kit comes packaged in a nice box, totally suitable for gift giving, and comes with the tools you need to build this tree model. What I love about this brand's kits is that they always include mixed media objects, not just wood cut pieces. This is the case here - the tree comes in 2 large sections and is made of molded plastic. It also includes a variety of objects, like artifical little plants and the cutest retro mini fridge I've ever seen! I just started building this model and will update my photos when complete, but so far, it's been fun to build. The instruction manual is clear and easy to understand and follow along with, and all the pieces are good quality. Unlike traditional book nooks that mostly involve fitting wood cut pieces together, this set has a lot of other types of materials, which makes for an interesting assembly process. Overall, so far I absolutely would give this 5 stars. The set is totally cute for lovers of fantasy, well designed and included many sweet little unique touches. I think it would be appropriate for beginners or experienced builders, and I would recommend to others looking for a totally cute tree house.

I built a lot of these mini kits and this one was very disappointing considering how expensive it is. Would not recommend.

This grabbed Rolife fairytale tree house kit because I wanted a project I could slowly work on and enjoy without rushing. From the moment I opened the box, I could tell a lot of care went into the design. Everything is very detailed and fits the fantasy forest theme nicely, which is what drew me in to begin with. Putting it together has been enjoyable and calming. The instructions are clear and easy to follow as long as you take your time. I would not recommend rushing through it, since some of the pieces are small and meant to be placed carefully. I found that working on it in short sessions made it even more fun and less tiring. The finished sections look great as they come together, and it really does start to feel like a tiny world of its own. I like how many little decorative touches there are, because they make the tree house feel warm and storybook like rather than plain. It is the kind of project where you keep noticing new details as you build. This kit definitely feels more suited for adults or experienced crafters since patience is important, but that is part of what makes it satisfying. Once completed, it works well as a display piece and adds a unique look to a shelf or desk. Overall, it has been a rewarding build and a nice break from everyday routines.

Rolife is THE BRAND for miniature kits. These sets always are the highest quality and easiest instructions to follow. They are the perfect brand for the beginner and the veteran miniature builder. I do not recommend these sets for children under 12 as they do require patience and dexterity. Turns out exactly as pictured with all pieces included. I love this fairy tale theme and it is perfect for my calico critters! I highly recommend these sets!
