The good: the mic appears to have great quality. This is a vlogging system with both a light and mic. Not so fond of: the light is blinding without a diffuser. The diffusers are thin and easily pop out. This lacks quality. The phone cannot be placed vertically with accessories on the tripod. It is too heavily weighted to the side and falls over. I personally like recording vertically because looking at the phone screen looks more natural than when the phone is sideways. I purchased this because I heard rode had good quality and I hoped to use the light and mic for my GoPro as well. Some suggestions: creating a setup that can easily be used for both a GoPro and a phone, with better vertical capability and better diffusers. ... show more

I feel slightly disappointed with the kit. I installed everything exactly as the instructions said, but the input sound is very low. I thought the microphone would provide good sound input, like the reviews I read, but it's not the case. The iPhone alone records better.
