Each unit features a one-piece 19-gauge steel cabinet body with 18-gauge steel top and bottom. Other key features include quick-release ball-bearing drawer slides, patented locking system, protective drawer liners, tool tray, large push handle, and a powder-coated finish. These compact tool chests are a great addition to any shop and can easily be added to your existing storage system. The lined drawers of each unit move smoothly on ball-bearing slides, making it easy to organize and access all your stored tools. The 18-gauge steel body of these chests gives durability for extended use in garages or workshops. And, with the included lock and keys, it is easy to protect all your stored items from theft. Very impressed upon receiving this tool box! Drawers slide and lock beautifully. Box is super heavy for size, nice thick metal. I bought this to fit into a cabinet, in order to fit it in I had to hammer flat the back flanges, with a heavy hammer and HARD swings to flatten the flanges I fully expected paint chipping on the back where I beat on it profusely.     • 3 years of abuse and it's holding up well
I manage a fleet of mobile mechanics. We needed a tool box to fit inside the utility bed on one of our trucks. We wanted as many drawers as possible. This fit our spot and had 10 drawers. Well that was 3 years ago and this box has been all over Texas on construction job sites. That means that this box has been bounced and jarred constantly for the last 3 years while loaded with tools. It still works perfectly. I just ordered the same box for our new mechanics truck. The biggest complaint is that it doesn't have individual drawer locks. They are either all locked or all unlocked. Sometimes we don't have level ground to park and all the drawers want to open as soon as it's unlocked so individual drawer locks would be nice but not a deal killer. It has definitely held up much better than I expected and I definitely recommend. ... show more

    • Smallest cabinet with 10 drawers
This was the smallest tool cabinet that I found with 10 drawers to fit in a condo walk in closet. It was a bit pricey, but much higher quality than the cheaper cabinets I considered. To get 10 drawers, you usually have to buy a cabinet this size and stack another chest on top, or go with a desk size cabinet. This is a perfect piece of engineering. The shipper damaged it slightly and Grizzly handled that with excellence as well. It is a great product sold by a great company. You can buy it from Amazon or Grizzly, whichever is convenient for you. If you do not have a receiving dock, you will need to arrange for a lift truck delivery. ... show more

I can confirm the description given by the reviewer C. Fletcher. This tool cabinet is indeed solidly built: according to Grizzly, it is made of 18 gauge steel, and actual measurement of the wall thickness is consistent with that gauge plus a coat of paint. The drawer hardware and the casters are solid, and work well. With casters locked, the cabinet is very stable and does not move when drawers are opened and closed. I purchased the cabinet directly from Grizzly. The initial shipment arrived damaged, but the company promptly took it back and sent me a replacement in perfect condition. I bought the 10 drawer and a shelf rack direct from Grizzly's website. The tool cabinet came via Fedex freight scheduled delivery: Paid for on the 4th rec'd the 8th. Fast shipping! You must attach the casters, tool tray, and push handle. All hardware and tools were neatly packaged, separate for each application. The tool cabinet is very solidly built - 171 lbs!. The powder coat finish is very durable. The drawer glides are very sturdy and have smooth action. The lock mechanism is good. You can close an open drawer while the cabinet is locked with no problem. The lined/padded drawers add a nice touch though aftermarket liners are a bit thicker. Very impressed with the quality for the $$$! Much nicer than comparable craftsman, IMHO. ... show more
