🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The speakers being reviewed have garnered generally positive feedback for their sound quality and versatility, particularly considering their price point. Many users have found them suitable for solo and duo gigs or small to medium-sized venues. They benefit from a clean sound and a good range of input options, including Bluetooth. A few reviewers note some shortcomings regarding bass and the ability to support larger events.

Pros

  • 🎵 Good sound quality, particularly for the price
  • 🔌 Variety of inputs, including Bluetooth
  • 🏪 Suitable for solo or duo gigs, or small to medium venues
  • 🔋 Battery-powered and portable

Cons

  • 🔉 Bass output could be improved
  • 🔊 Not powerful enough for larger events
  • 🎤 Some issues with the microphone and reverb reported
  • 📈 There have been instances of distortion at higher volumes

Should I Buy It?

For smaller gigs or events, this speaker generally delivers solid, reliable performance for its price. However, if you're planning on using it for larger events or you require a particularly strong bass output, you might want to consider looking elsewhere. Overall, it offers good value for its cost but is not intended for professional usage or large venues.

  • Keeps Up With JBL EON MK2
I've been a DJ for over 45 years, I am a JBL Guy. I'm impressed with these speakers. I've only used these speakers as satellites to provide sound, UHF wirelessly, in other rooms to add or spread the sound in the same room to my JBL EON One Mk2, in small venues. I purchased two from Audio Savings with the added extenders, I would never use these without the extenders, You will need the height. I did get a bad Speaker that would not work on battery and had no issues getting a replacement from Audio Savings, they have great Customer Service. The sound is great, they get pretty loud and keep up with the JBL'S. I would only consider using these as mains at 80 person or less wedding or party, they would make great monitors or be ideal mains for single or duo Musicians Battery life is unbelievable. I run these for over 5 hours at a 3/4 volume and full volume for the last hour. I still had half battery life left. This season I'm going to give them and added use, with the ease of set up not having to plug them in, great sound quality and good volume, these will be my ceremony speakers. I tried connecting with Bluetooth and Bluetooth link to the other speaker, it was flawless. I'm impressed with Rockville they are putting out good products at an affordable price. ... show more

  • Updated: Awesome
The media could not be loaded. I ordered 2 "like new" returned models. At first I was upset because I had an issue with one, and both were clearly returned units. Both were missing manuals, a few scratches, and a key point, missing styrofoam from the packaging. It allowed one of the units to bounce inside of its box causing some internal parts to break loose. The seller is very fast at responding and very helpful. Instead of returning or exchanging my fixed it myself and is now stronger and better than new. These are above and beyond what I was expecting. These speakers are great! If you're expecting to DJ a club or wedding with these you will be disappointed. They are kind of short but luckily the extension sections are easy to find making them the perfect height. If you DJ karaoke nights at your local bar, two of these are perfect. For speeches, wedding music and ceremonies. Perfect. Bumping and thumping at the club or a banging house party = Disappointment. I will be using these for wedding music/ceremonies and as outdoor satellite speakers for the main indoor PA system. Going to fit in perfect. ... show more

  • Speaker is great but bad Customer service.
The speaker is great. I ordered two of them A couple years apart, the first one worked great and still works great. When plugged in the battery died and stop charging about a year after purchasing on the first one, but the speaker was so good. I decided to buy a second one so I had 1 that had battery when I received the second 1. It was brand new in the box I plugged it in to charge it overnight. I figured it was fully charged. I went to use it on a camping trip after packing it and it was completely dead. Tried to charge it again and would not charge. So then I requested a return from audio savings. They approved my return. And I sent them the speaker back and It is now end of July and I do not have a replacement speaker or my money back. The second speaker was purchased beginning of June 2024. Like I said, Rockville speaker is amazing, but audio savings The sellers customer service is horrible. ... show more

  • Better than I thought
I recently bought 2 of these speaker systems to use for solo and duo gigs. I play keyboards and sing, have a duo with a guitar player/singer and also have a full 4 piece variety band that plays classic rock, R&B, country and soul. Our guitar player talked me into trying these with our full band at gigs at smaller to mid size venues and I finally agreed to. I used our normal FOH mixer, a 22 channel Mackie board and subbed each side of the mixer into the Rockville speakers placed on each side of the band. The first time I wasn't so please with the sound but the 2nd time I ran the EQ's on each Rockville straight up, flattened out the graphic EQ on the mixer and made minor adjustments from there. These speakers kicked! We were blown away. We'll still use the big system with 1000 watt powered mains and subs for larger venues but for small to medium size, indoor shows, we'll definitely stick with these. ... show more

  • A Versatile, Easy to Operate System for Small Venues!
The set-up for this system was intuitive, for anyone who has been around PA systems for a while, and I was STUNNED when I turned it on, and connected my Shure SM57 microphone! The system is whisper quite when turned on: with no 'white noise' like you hear with most PA systems, it reminded me of a Bose compact system, with slightly less fidelity. To get a good sound out of the microphone, turn the bass and treble knob to 10, and you will get clean power out of this system! I would recommend it for crowds under fifty people, in a medium-sized meeting room. Everything fits into the carrying case, and there are no additional pockets for microphones or cables. For gigs on the fly, this compact system represents a game-changer, when you factor in the battery powered option which will allow you to play at picnics! Very highly recommended! ... show more

  • Don't Be Fooled
These are horrible. The bluetooth is a joke. Bought two of these and connected them together via bluetooth, then connected them to my phone via bluetooth. When the speakers are powered off and then later powered on you have to go thru this bluetooth pairing again. Putting the speakers more than 20 feet apart means bluetooth keeps dropping in and out. If you bought two of these to use for a PA system together, forget it, the sound from the microphone will only play on one speaker. Already had to send one back twice for repairs. Had it to do all over again, I wouldn't and wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. Update (Sept 22. 2024). After sending one speaker back 3 times for repair/replacement and now a couple of months later again the speaker will not hold a charge or for that matter will not charge at all. ... show more
