Microphone would not work at 1st. Changed to my own XLR cable and it worked fine. So, be aware that the cable may not work. Buy an extra backup XLR cable in case, if you do not have any lying around. I had gotten this for a gift for my granddaughter and if I didn't have that extra cable, it would have been tears all around. Rockville isn't known for there microphones, they have good, inexpensive sound gear that usually works pretty well but normally I don't associate them with quality microphones. However, this mic is surprisingly good. Sturdy and reasonable sound quality. I wouldn't use it for an opera or studio recording but for karaoke or basic stage work, it will do the job. Nice to have a case with it but the cable... really not very good quality. It gets the job done but not really the best part of this package. ... show more

Well made metal mike with nice on/.off switch. Very good sound for the price, but the noise of your hand while holding the mike makes it usuable only on a mike stand. The blue stripe of the top just an elastic and came off within a few seconds. All things considered, worth the price.
