I've heard of Rockport, but this is the first pair I have owned. My wife swears by Timberland, but I didn't like any of their style. These look great and are functional at work or casual wear. Fit true to size with plenty of toe room. So far, they are waterproof and are breaking in easily. I've worn them about 6 times now. The boots are excellent. Super comfortable the first day I put them on. I'd give them 5 starts, except Rockport went full discount on the shoelaces. Within a week they were starting to fray and fall apart. Too bad, for the money you'd think they spend a few more cents on the laces.

I love the look and feel of these shoes, but I've had them for four months and the tread on the heel is completely gone. There's an inner hole breaking through on one of the soles. I'd buy again, if only they made it with a tougher or more durable sole.
