This wire comes in new Rockford Fosgate packing, not "loose" wire like the picture will lead you to believe. I have used this wire before, it is VERY thick (the wire itself and the protective coating). It is 15 feet long and is MORE than enough to hook up multiple subwoofers with extra wire to spare. If you are of the mind that wire is wire, I respect your views. If you are like me and hear audible differences in wires, then read on. I love the sound of PC-OCC wire and use it in most of my audio gear. But cost sometimes gets in the way and makes me compromise. I rewired most of the point-to-point wiring inside my APC S20BLK with this stuff and while just OFC it is larger than the OEM internal wiring. The attached pic shows the in-process rewiring job where the outlets are already done [behind the panel] and the IEC outlet wiring to these remain. The sonic results was pretty amazing where the system became quieter and low-level details were more easily resolved with your ears. People spend a bunch on power cords and are happy with their results but the other side of that IEC outlet can also be addressed. I found that this worked well. I would have preferred to use Oyaide or Furutech, the cost was just too much at this time. I am encouraged to spring for a second rewire of this unit with PC-OCC wire as soon as funds allow. Until then, I am VERY happy with this wire, especially for the price. BTW, I used about half of the 15-foot roll to complete the rewiring. ... show more

This speaker wire looks and feels great. It is all that Rockford Fosgate is about which is great honest quality. It is rated as 12AWG and it's true 12 AWG. I have it powering an Alpine SWR 12d4 pushed by Alpine PDX 1.1000. At 1000 RMS, this sub is hungry for power and this wire feeds it very well. Four stars because its hard strip due to its thick insulation and thin strands. I don't allow for any cut strands so it took me a few times to strip it properly. I had to use a razor blade because my wire stripper was not large enough. The insulation on this wire is a little gel like which feels good but is harder to strip due to its softness. Other than this small quirk it's an awesome wire and I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

More like 10 gauge wire. Easy to cut, very flexible, very fine strands of copper. Lil over priced but I pay for the peice of mind knowing i got the top of the line wire pushing my speakers.
