  • Top notch product. You can't go wrong!
Style: 4-Ohm Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Perfection. This sub is worth every cent and then some. Installed in the right enclosure, and paired with an adequate amp you couldn't ask for more. Rockford Fosgate recommends a 1.58 cubic feet enclosure for a sealed and around 2.66 for ported. Rockville RDP115 Dual 15" Sealed Enclosure 1.58 Cu Ft 3/4" MDF (also sold on amazon) is built to spec if you're looking for sealed. There are several ported options out there. As far as an amplifier goes, I matched 2 of these wired down to 2 ohms each, then hooked them up to a Rockford Fosgate Prime 1,200-Watt Class-D 1-Channel Amplifier amp and these babies pound. I mean chest thumping, license plate rattling bass, and all the while sounding clean and crisp. It's really important to match these subs up with the right enclosure and the right amp, wired in the right way to get the best performance. ... show more

  • At 30 my sunroof sounds like it is going to break out or shatter
Style: 4-Ohm Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Ok, these things are rediculously loud and hit so frickin hard it is retarded. I have two of them hooked up to a rockford 1200 watt amp. My head unit goes to 40. Well I am scared to turn it up past 30. At 30 my sunroof sounds like it is going to break out or shatter, when the bass hits it literally sounds like someone is hitting my tailgate with a bat. They hit so hard that they popped open the glass hatch on my tailgate the other day. You can feel the air moving by your face. Plus they actually sound good while hitting that hard. I even listen to rock music with them and they still sound really good. I have to turn the volume down a little on the amp when listening to rock music so the bass doesn't over power the rest of the music, but they sound really good. These things are worth every penny and then some. ... show more

  • Not bad, but not class leading
Style: 4-Ohm Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
After having the 10 inch version of this sub in another car, I decided to go for the gusto and get 2 15's and live out my 1990s boom car fantasies. I can say they're capable of said boom, but while I thought the 10 was also capable of clean round bottom end, the 15s are a bit heavy handed, and sound bad unless crossed over very low. Im still working on tweaking the amp to sound right (Punch 1000x1bd) but as I tweak things are improving. I had already reinforced my subwoofer box with 2 layers of 3/4 mdf, but I am going to also add internal bracing as I can still feel a bit of vibration in the box. These will also help you find any trim piece in your vehicle that is not properly attached. I have them in ~1.8 cuft a piece as recommended by RF, and they do not play as low as I had hoped cleanly, but can achieve a clean ~125-130 db at 28-30hz. the 35-80hz range easily clears 140db if you're into that sorta thing. Again, I was REALLY impressed with the 10" version, and would recommend those in a heartbeat, but I dont think the 15" versions are quite as impressive and would check into other brands. ... show more

  • This sub hits HARD.
Style: 2-Ohm Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I have this 15 inch subwoofer in a custom box (4 ft^3 tuned to 32 hz) and I am feeding it 500 watts RMS. Set up this way, it hits ridiculously hard. I'm talking cell phone and other objects rattling off of table tops, etc. I am using this with an EQ to get as flat a response as possible. This sub hits down to 18 hz the way I have it set up. When I play a 20 hz test tone at full volume, my eq, which is sitting on top of one of my amps, starts rattling around along with everything else in sight. I also turned it up on a bass heavy song and went around to see how much the sound carries. One floor down and three rooms over and it sounds like being in the bathroom at a club. Although I still have minor tweaks to make, I have nothing negative to say about this subwoofer so far. Granted, I have only had this set up for a few days so I will have to add more to this review if anything changes over time but as of now I could not be more happy with the quality and SPL for the price paid. ... show more

  • Outlasted my SA15...
Style: 4-Ohm Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Had a Sundown sa15, blew it up after a couple months. Then bought a MOFO, and that blew on less than half rated power. Decided to purchase this Rockford P3 15 and wire it at 2 ohms on about 800 rms, and I have no regrets. After months of beating down the block, this sub is broken in nicely and is surprisingly musical, even in a large 34hz tuned vented box. It's not as snappy as an 8, but why would it be? This Rockford slams, delivering excellent spl at high volumes while still sounding terrific on low power. After months of daily 30 minute "go deaf" sessions each way to and from work, it's still going strong and adds exceptional depth to everything i listen to. No, it doesn't hit quite as hard as the sundown sa15 did, but it's pretty damn close and this Rockford hasn't blown up like the sundown did. I'm extremely satisfied. ... show more

  • OMG... All i could do was smile. :)
Style: 4-Ohm Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Got one of these after both my 10 in subs bit the dust. This one woofer alone blows them away. I built a ported box per the specs on rocford fosgate Web site and have an old cadence ultradrive z1200 amp I bought new years ago with inine FOMD 30hz high pass crossovers before the amp. The amp if I remember right puts out 750wats rms bridged at 4 ohms. Cadence amps crank that was a good buy way back. With the base boost turned on and gain all the way up it handels the power no problem. The base is so clean and crisp cranked up its unbelievable. Didn't get any clipping at all just wanted more. Still need to do some tweaking and install a base level gain switch but as of right now it performs above my expectations. I would give more stars of I could you won't regret getting this sub. ... show more
