    • Nice Sound, Poor protection
I was replacing speakers of the same size on the outside of my RV, yet I needed to expand the existing hole, due to the fact that the supports for the speaker housing are excessively robust, and needed about 1/4" more opening, which also creates a much narrower surface to be able to screw to. Sound is excellent. I wish that there was more "grill coverage" since the speaker cone is very open to exposure and potential damage. Not a great design for exposed exterior speakers, but this poor design is what "everyone" is doing now... Time will tell.. ... show more

    • not typical mounting speakers
the speaker covers do not come off. Had planned to mount them on the inside of my 2012 Harley Davidson bat fairing. Since the speaker covers are not removable had to swap them to the rear. They do sound good. It was a lot of work to get them to fit. Had to use spacers since the magnets are larger than my other Rockford Fosgate speakers. The spacers are for 4 screw hole speakers, had to further modify the spacers to fit these 6 hole speakers. The fact the speaker covers do not come off and they are 6 screw holes and not the normal 4 made it a challenge to make they fit. All things considered would not have purchased them ... show more
