Review after upgrade! I recommend these speakers for sure.Previously I had installed a rockville rkl65mbw 6.5 marine speakers paired with BOSS mgr350b head unit with non external amp in my rzr, they we're ok but I didn't like at all the sounding. The head unit blew after 2 years and I decided and went for another way. I the same head unit, but changed the enclosures, pair of door enclosure for 50 bucks, head unit $110, tower speakers pods for 230 and 4 rockford Fosgate 260 plus 30 dollars in wiring, terminal connectors, etc. The sound quality that I noticed was huge! A lot louder, now I can hear the music well over my muffler, it has clearer sound quality, noticeable mid-range adjustment in the equialyzer, better looking, improved in all aspects. This setup is for about $680 depending where you get the stuff. NOTES: The rzr is 1000 with stock muffler, obviously aftermarket muffler or turbo car are louder. If you go with those door enclosures you had to drill 2 holes in both doors frame's. I did the installation by myself, that's I didn't put any labor charges. I was replacing speakers of the same size on the outside of my RV, yet I needed to expand the existing hole, due to the fact that the supports for the speaker housing are excessively robust, and needed about 1/4" more opening, which also creates a much narrower surface to be able to screw to. Sound is excellent. I wish that there was more "grill coverage" since the speaker cone is very open to exposure and potential damage. Not a great design for exposed exterior speakers, but this poor design is what "everyone" is doing now... Time will tell.. ... show more
