Happy with it

Where were these when I was in school. I am able to scribble random thoughts down without having to worry about running out of space to doodle and scribble. A simple wipe of the pages and I have a new book. Excellent purchase

Game Changer!
Size: Premium Executive
Color: Pink
LOVE LOVE LOVE this - I have tablet after tablet (a literal mountain) of notes that I take during work phone calls and notes to self and other tidbits that I need reminded of - when do I throw them away???? What if I need to reference something? I am not a hoarder but by golly the pile was getting big! THIS NOTEBOOK has SAVED my sanity! I can write everything down and email it to myself in my own handwriting in a simple click of the camera button - Notes are saved as a .pdf for future reference. Then I get the satisfaction of wiping the page clean and starting fresh again. I thought I might be too lazy to upload them but it takes so little effort that so far I found myself more organized than ever! What a minimal investment that has provided maximum results. Just try it.

Perfect Notebook
Size: Premium Executive
Color: Teal
Just started using this notebook, I really love it so far. I’ve scanned and directly sent pages to certain files and it worked perfectly. The OCR capability is not perfect but it also scans your handwritten notes to compare to what was transcribed. My 9 year old also loves it for how smooth it writes and the fact that you can erase your notes! Very fun and cool.

Suggestions for improvement made

Reviews are mixed; I somehow thought this would automatically connect thru Wi-Fi to your phone. It doesn't! App needs download, then take a pic & stores into app. Basically, the same as taking a pic & making a file in photo album. Pen should be click pen & have 'eraser' on the lid of pen, so it is accessible when pen is in use. As is, eraser is at bottom of pen, so lid needs to be removed if pen is in use. There should be an elastic pen loop on 'Notebook' & it would be nice if notebook covers were hard & rigid, to use as writing surface when not at a desk; however, it's nice that the covers are durable & easily wipe down. There should also be a pencil bag type 'envelope' to hold the washcloth. Perhaps, smaller 'erasers' could also be made (kinda like makeup wedges) or dry erase markers with eraser. I haven't used my rocket book much, as I've had to order a hard covered 'folder' that also has a clipboard on front, 'with' pen loop '&' folders for loose papers, (washcloth), etc.. still waiting for that to arrive. Gladly, your product wasn't outrageously expensive, so the value was comparable for the addition of an exterior 'folder' to carry my rocket in.

Very handy

Exactly what I needed to take notes with my classes. I do have to damp the cloth a little bit for the ink to come all the way off! I do love this product though. Saves me a lot of time and paper with note taking. Just snap a pic of your note and erase and reuse!

Inconsistent quality

I have 4 different rocketbook notebooks with 4 different personalities. The first one I had, the Rocketbook Core. I loved it so much that I have bought several other types hoping that I'd get something remotely as nice. The pens glide on the paper effortlessly and with smooth ink deposit. They scan, clean and reuse as promised. Then came disappointment after disappointment. I bought another Rocketbook Core. Same name, different beast entirely. Dots. Dots everywhere. The paper had, instead of lines, these freak'n dots. Not only does it make it hard for me to write in a straight horizontal, there are dots in the middle of the spacing too. And they have a texture that interrupts the relationship of the ball pen and the paper. This paper is already less attractive to the frixion pens, and now the dots must interject! So long languid love affair! Next try, a Rocketbook Core that specifically noted it was lined as my first love. This was a smaller version that can fit in my kavu. Sure to be a hit. Alas! Something more slick in the pages, something less velvety and autumnal makes the ink less happy to be forced into this arrangement. One last try... Rocketbook Pro, Smart, Executive. I suppose it is meant to satisfy the dot grid lover and those of us that prefer the lines. It has both with each side of each page offering the one pattern or the other. I guess you can even buy inserts to this kind of cover that have other formats such as planner pages and such. I like the feel of the cover, the weight and size of this one, if only the pages had the magic texture of my original one. I am sure that I am not crazy, the same pen can go from one to the next of these notebooks and you can feel the difference in the ease of writing. You can see how much smoother the flow of ink... I wish there was a way to distinguish which one the first one is so I can get more like it. Maybe the original recipe has just been changed and is forever lost. I guess its time to switch to the remarkable. Also, pictures of the frixion pens so no one thinks it all to do with the wrong pens. I really wanted to love rocketbook and have all the frixions!

Worth a try!

I love the portability of this notebook, as well as the ease of being able to reuse. It's not revolutionary; the process of taking a photo and uploading to the cloud is something that can be done with a paper notebook, but there are handy features like tags and being able to mark an icon on the page to send to custom destinations. I wish the file options were a bit more versatile; you choose between a PDF and an OCR-transcribed text file with an image embedded. The OCR feature could use some work and makes the app run slower/freeze on my old phone. However, I don't really need the text recognition feature for my daily notes. Be careful not to erase too hard with the erasable pens, as doing so seems to wear the pages down more. I prefer the clicky Frixon pens to the one that comes with the Rocketbook. All in all, I'm glad I have one. It's far less expensive than an electronic tablet version and great for those who still like the feel of handwriting with ink pens.
