EDIT - 5/16/20 - I decided not to purchase these headphones after all. Instead, I gave my son my old Sennheiser HD 598SR and purchased this Cable Boom Microphone for $30: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W1G95PH/ I bought these headphones for my 10-year old son, he plays Fornite with friends and with his prior closed back headphones he would yell SO LOUD, it's no short of incredibly annoying. So I got him these ROCCAT headphones because of their open back design which made him be a lot less loud (yet, still loud but no AS loud as before lol) because he could now hear himself. But then, just 2 months after, only one side works. Seems something inside the mute control broke or came lose or whatever because there is one tiny small spot win the switch (which it doesn't stay on obviously) where both sides work. These headphones are EPIC for their ultra-open back design, no other headphones come anywhere close to this feature which for me is THE most important feature on a pair of headphones. Unfortunately, these only lasted 2 months. On top of this, I'm going to have to purchase a new pair of these headphones because: One, they are out of warranty so I can't return them. I have had several types of headsets over the years and I was in need of a new set. My current set is wireless and I have been having issues with them disconnecting nonstop. I wanted a Great headset without all the fancy lights. I saw some reviews for these online and thought I would give them a try. They are packaged very well and I like that they came with an adapter for laptops or gaming consoles alike. Just plugged these in and wow everything is tinny. The treble is horrible. These would be great for talking like skype discord or something. Music sounds so bad and my games sound worse. It's literally like listening to music through a blown speaker. Now I have to say the mic sounds great and the headset itself is comfortable that was the only reason it got 2 stars. My only other con was if I was watching a video or listening to music everyone in my discord channel could hear it. I changed some settings I even tried the mute button on the headset itself and nothing seem to fix it. These are utterly useless at this point. I'd rather use my old headset that keeps disconnecting at least it sounds ok. I would say go for another headset or a mic and headphone combo. Not these. ... show more
