  • Great mouse and even better customer service.
Color: Black Edition: Kone Pro Air
After about two months of use I began to have issues with the scroll wheel of the mouse. After several attempts to troubleshoot the problem I had no luck and finally reach out to the Roccat and after explaining my issues and troubleshooting they determined it was a hardware issue and have issued me a replacement. The response was quick. Up until that point the mouse worked flawlessly and I have no complaints. ... show more

  • Grade A Mouse
Color: Black Edition: Kone Pro
Ergo is outstanding. Scroll is outstanding. Aluminum scroll wheel with good steps. Clicks take some getting used to because they are opticals that feel a little hollow at first. Theyare on the light side of moderate and have good tactility, so overall they are decent. Side buttons have perfect placement and no travel issues. Material is a rubberized plastic that might make the hand sweaty but provides a nice texture and good grip. Weight is excellent, and feet glide effortlessly. Sensor performance is excellent, no issues. Lift off distance is low. DPI, color (x16), color mode (x5), LOD, polling rate are all configurable via on-board controls. No software required. Big selling point for me. This mouse released for $80 and is a steal for $30. Considering getting a second one because it is that good even if it also seems very durable. Performance-wise it is excellent. In terms of feel, it feels very plastic and tupperware-ish...but it is comfy tupperware and it performs! ... show more

  • The Perfect Balance Between Comfort and Lightweight
Color: Black Edition: Kone Pro Air
I wish I could be exaggerating with the title, but this mouse is absolutely incredible. I've tried every popular gaming/office mouse under the sun and my by far favorite has been the Logitech G502. However, I was recently introduced to lightweight mice and the Logitech G PRO Superlight had gotten my attention for a bit. However, I always had to swap between these as the superlight was ultimately uncomfortable and had poor skates. The G502 has always been the most comfortable, but its too heavy for quick-flick gaming. Here comes the ROCCAT Kone Pro Air. At only $30 on black friday, I didn't think too much of this mouse initially. Once I received it, I was hooked. There was no "break in" period, it just worked. It was amazing, I still cannot believe a mouse this comfortable and lightweight existed, I thought it was impossible. The build quality is absolutely phenomenal too. I don't think there is any mouse on the market that can beat this level of comfort + lightweight form factor. One issue however, like many reviews have mentioned, is the software. It's dog water. Let me tell you how to get it working though: 1. Set the mouse setting to the center option, non-bluetooth or receiver mode. Plug it in via usb cable 2. Download the software, its called Roccat Swarm. 3. Plug in the receiver as well and update the firmware of the mouse. It might bug out so make sure the USB cable is plugged in first, THEN plug in the wireless transmitter. 4. Once updated, then you can change your DPI. The way I did this is by making sure "auto apply" was selected. This is a slow process. The software is SLOW to update. There are 5 DPI options, uncheck them all except #3, that's the one it used for me. If not, just set them all to the DPI you want, such as 1600. 5. Save settings. That's really it! This mouse is END GAME. If you're trying to find the balance between comfort and lightweight, this is it. ... show more

  • Ergo mouse, crappy software
Color: Black Edition: Kone Pro
The shape is the most comfortable and ergonomic among the ones I've seen and felt. The way you grip the mouse just feels right, with your thumb and pinkie fitting perfectly onto the sides. While the shape is good and allows for very natural, snappy movements when gaming (that is, indeed, the main purpose of the product itself), I wouldn't feel comfortable saying the same regarding the performance. Once plugged in, despite working instantly, the very first "necessity" is to download the Roccat Swarm software to be able to tweak and customize the mouse to your liking. The problem is, the software runs slower than a monkey on a pennyfarthing. It will affect the performance of the mouse in ways that I yet cannot understand completely: the main issue is with the sensor, that is for some reason jittery and stuttery in-game, registering random movements I didn't make; the game soon became unplayable due to the constant tendency of the mouse to make me look up to the sky. Pretty, isn't it? While trying to understand what was wrong with the sensor, I tried setting, from the software my polling rate from 1000Hz down to even 125Hz, as I heard that the stutter may be due to lack of synchronization between the polling rate and monitor refresh rate. After this attempt failed, I reckoned it had something to do with the DPI (as the default one, 800, is way too low for me). But once again, my attempt was pointless. I even tried messing with the LOD (lift-off distance) and changing the underlying surface (by removing the cloth mat), but none of these to any success. Ultimately, I tested my luck online to check if anyone else might be having (or have had) the same problems, but to my surprise there were no results available for this issue or, for the matter, on the mouse itself. Somehow, every different search directed me towards Reddit discussion on the Kone Pro Air (the wireless variant), which despite being similar, had very different sofware and mechanical issues on its own. My last straw was to delete the software itself, since I had read online that it prettu much slows the computer down when processing mouse movements. Then, one PC reboot and the cursor was completely fine. Every stutter, gone; even the smallest jitter went away to leave place for silky smooth aiming. The main takeaway from this review would be: Once you're content with tweaking the mouse from the software, if you're experiencing any of my aforementioned annoyances, try uninstalling it. It might solve your problem and save you from a very stressful afternoon. Everything else on the mouse is fantastic; the lighting is delightful, the mouse buttons large and the CPS high, if you're into Minecraft. Hope this aws helpful. ... show more
