I've had other Rivers Edge products and I've always been satisfied. The Lounger Tree Seat is no exception. It is pretty bulky to haul into the woods with a gun and all my other gear. But it is very sturdy and has a ratchet strap to secure it to the tree. The seat has a very thick pad and hangs from the frame, making it very comfortable to sit for long hours of hunting. What I like most about this seat is how it attaches to the tree at the top of the seat back. This allows the seat to be securely ratcheted to a smaller, more normal diameter and not at the wide base at the lower trunk. I would definitely recommend this seat. This seat is fantastic. Super easy to attach and incredibly comfortable. Only reason it got a 4 star rating was because it’s very awkward to carry in. Needs some type of strap to keep it together and to wear like a backpack or shoulder strap.

This appears to be very well made structurally. I’m just really disappointed that the stupid cushions are black on one side and grey on the other. I suggest if you’re gonna go out during deer season and run and gun hopefully it’s not when the black bear season is going on at the same time. You think for a few dollars more, they could’ve bought the copyright to some kind of camo. ... show more

Side arms get in the way for bow hunting but work well for gun season. Would be good if they designed straps to use as backpack to transport to and from woods. A clip or hook system to connect the ratchet straps would make it much easier to secure to the tree... especially in the dark. For those reasons I gave it a 3 for ease of use ... show more

    • Buy it, you won't regret it! Very comfortable
I just started hunting this year. The first day I sat on the ground with a hot seat and it was terrible!! My legs fell asleep and I had to keep moving. If I was to continue to hunt, I knew I would need to change my seating. This seat is awesome!!!! I have never set still so long in a seat. Super comfortable!! I definitely recommend. The only draw back is it doesn't fold down very well, so a little clunky to carry thru woods. ( I just strapped it to my pack) but WELL worth it! I promise!! ... show more

    • Don’t waste your money
I’ve always said the people that design these products should be hunters and use the products they design. The webbing around the armrest frame has the Velcro sewn into it and the supplied padding is not molded to fit around the armrest. Therefore if you don’t use the padding, you have to deal with exposed Velcro against your clothing or bare skin. Go to sportsman’s guide and buy this same stand that is camouflaged and has better armrest padding design and is less than half the price this one cost. My hunting buddy has been using that one for 10+ years and is pleased with it. Note- This stand does not include a carrying strap for the stand, so you’ll have to build your own. This stand is too bulky to carry around in your hand. I hunt in the mountains and it is walk-in only and I cover a lot of area and have to be mobile. ... show more
